Yeah, the only reason Bronies are so hated are for the things that EVERY FANDOM EVER does, but for a show for little girls so it's worse for some reason.

that's exactly why people consider it worse. You have a fandom almost as dedicated and annoying as the Sonic the Hedgehog fan base, but it isn't exactly acceptable that this kind of fandom is for a tv show that was originally meant for younger girls.

you can get away with doing some of the obnoxious things that most fandoms do because their intended target is more widespread. Not that it should be acceptable, but depending on the audience targeted, the number of obnoxious people in the fandom can be seen as more acceptable than others. This show isn't exactly aimed at those other than younger girls, so to have an entire fandom where the majority is teenage/adult boys and have these kinds of crazy things a dedicated fan base usually has can be considered unacceptable or weird since it's not aimed at them in the first place.

The makers of the show have also have said plenty of times "The show is for all audiences"

While that may be true, what exactly is the MLP franchise as a whole aimed towards in the first place? If this were some other MLP show, or really any other show based on a girl's toy, I don't think it would be a good time being those few male teens or adults that like the show. The overall franchise isn't supposed to be for them, so they're going to be deemed hate for sure. it's the same case here. The only difference is that the majority of viewers are male teens or adults.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a BAD thing to be a brony. If these people like the show, go for it. I just won't watch it anytime soon. Shows like this can be good regardless of what they're based on. I'm just saying this is what I think of regarding why the fan base gets a lot of hate in the first place. Really the only part of the fan base I hate is that "dark side" of the fandom that every single one has.

What's wrong with Sonic?

the fanbase tends to be pretty obnoxious, what with having those fans who hate everything that isn't Genesis Sonic, those who follow the Sonic Cycle, and the numerous, numerous fan characters and fan fiction on the internet. It can be pretty overwhelming and annoying for some.
