I'm offering help to anyone who needds it. If you're asking me a question (I take story related questions, too) and it is a spoiler, PUT IT IN SPOILER TAGS.
I've beaten the game AND I have Prima's Guide. So I can help you.

The game has cheat codes. I will only send them to you in a PM, though.

Ah, that doesn't need a spoiler tag. Only plot questions do. :3
Anyway, to open that... That was a while ago. Try having the character you won't be using much (Cynder) carry it. Then when you get to a gap, switch to the orb-holder and get them across. I believe you must activate an electric switch to get some platforms to use.

I don't think you can. Try just zapping it for about 10 seconds. That always works for me.

Ok. :3
Spyro kind of goes evil. When Iggy dies, Spyro gets really P.O.'d and goes Dark for like 10 seconds. Near the end of the game Cynder goes Dark and starts beating Spyro till he snaps her out of it.
