...Why would you "hope" it's not a retail game?

You should hope it's a big budget retail game because that means it can potentially be a much deeper game you won't get bored of for years.

Looks awesome and innovative, really looking forward to it.

I absolutely LOVE the look of this game! It's like a kid's version of the 3 billion times as boring COD franchise....I'm hoping its an Eshop game too, but mainly so the price isnt as high as most retail games

They've already said the game will have many more modes than the one they've shown so far, and there have been hints of a single player campaign. I think it's safe to say this will be a full retail game (and it really should be, to help give the Wii U more of an in-store presence and increase the player base).

I've never been too big a fan of shooters, but this looks absolutely amazing, and was one of the best surprise announcements from E3. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the inklings. :)

I can't wait for this game as well. A shooter that has none of the 'FPS Saturates', as I call them, which are the details of every other shooter out there.

After hearing more about this game, I changed my view on it, and I like it a lot so far! Only played 1 FPS years ago when I was 8 (don't ask, COD 3) but I think I will get this game just because it's like an almost anti-FPS (Your average COD).

True that. I really hope that this particular game will be the number 1 bestseller out of Nintendo's latest games.
