A person commited suicide at my school, which is really sad. And my friend said it was stupid of him to waste his life like that, and now theres a bunch of people trying to beat him up because they think he said something different. Theres heaps of rumors circulating, and I really wanna help him but people already think Im a freak and one of my friends stopped being my friend cause Im so different and there are already rumors circulating about me apparently and I dont know what to do!!
I tried telling some of the people to respect my friends opinion, and they started being mean to me. And then I told them that what they heard wasnt exactly true, but they didnt listen. And then I told them that the fighting they are doing is disrespectful to the deceased, but they just rolled their eyes...
I hate this conflict and I feel like I have to do something, but I dont know what to do...
What do I do!??? (Sorry if in wrong section, I couldnt decide if here of Idle chat)

Try telling/getting a teacher if this happening at school, I know teachers aren't the best help sometimes, but it's the only thing I can think of, if you've already done that and they still aren't much help, then I'm sorry...I am out of suggestions on this sort of thing, if a specific teacher isn't helping, try to get other teachers attentions on this instead?

Really sorry, all the advice I have.

Edit: If it's not happening at school, try to get your parents to help...The only advice I have is get someone you know who is an adult, or related to you and an adult to help. 3: If none of that is working when you've already tried, I'm really sorry for having nothing else.

Also, how exactly are you "different"? What kinda rumors are there circulating about you?

Like Dark Lord said, the teachers could probably help..
But if not, and if they just refuse to listen to you, then all I can suggest is to not let it bother you and simply pretend their not there...

Outside of Dark Lord's suggestion to tell a teacher or dean, you've really done all you can do.

It's a tough time for the school and many of them are going to react negatively to the idea that what the deceased did is stupid. Regardless if your friend is right or not (I have a hunch he is), it was the wrong place and wrong time to say it and he's bound to get backlash for it. You're not immune to it either since you associate with him.

All you and your friend can do now is to never mention it again. Maybe when time passes the other classmates could see it from another point of view. But right now they're in a grief period and telling them that the person who killed himself wasted his life doing it was not the right thing to do.

Thank you for all the advice, I decided to just avoid where my friends hang out for a little while until most of the fuss dies down. He did say it at the wrong time, and he is still being an idiot about it so I have a feeling it wont be resolved for a while.
And Samius, my group of friends are very loud, we don't really fit into the 'sheep' of the school and we frequently do odd things. One of my close friends said he couldn't be friends with me because knowing me was 'social suicide'. Im over it now, but I dont really want more stuff like that happening, and because things have gotten violent I believe the 'rumors' (I have not heard any myself, but a friend said there are some) may cause the violence to be aimed towards me and I cant really do anything about it. I may be brave around the group, but the truth is Im a small pale girl so I cant really stand up to 30 boys who are all taller than I

I see, then it's a tough problem because you can't really effectively deal with something like that. Your best bet would be to seek help from someone who can influence these guys that keep bullying you.
