This is more of a suggestion than anything to do with Skylanders, but since it only applies to this singular subforum, I thought it'd go better here.

We currently have 7 sticky threads. That's a lot. When the page first loads, all I see are sticky threads that, for the most part, don't interest me.

Is there something we can do to trim them down a little? The Sales thread is the only one I personally care about (although I don't expect the entire forum to cater to my every whim) - but even then, I don't think it's necessary to have it as a sticky.

Generally on forums, the sticky is reserved for threads involving Frequently Asked Questions or Rules/Announcements. All of these mega-thread stickies just seem to encourage folks to try and start their own mega-thread (even when they don't include any substantial information in the OP and simply want others to post in their thread).

What I suggest would be a singular sticky thread that's a forum directory to the most engaging posts (i.e: these stickies). Using the "&view=new" tag on the URLs would allow the links to still take users who click from within the thread to any new posts in the thread *or* they could view them in the regular post feed like every other post.

This thread could also include some FAQs like "Where do I buy/sell/trade?" with "Not here." and "When is FigureX coming out?" with "When we know, there'll be a post."

Just a thought.

I doubt they would, but the Mega Blocks and Prototype threads need to get unstickied. Mega Blocks should have its own forum section and the last prototype thread post was back in March.

I agree that we have quite a few but most of them serve a purpose. The only one that i can see going is the prototype one. We kinda need the other ones to prevent cluttering. Do u remember before we got some of these stickies? I remember always seeing topics like "I got this!" or "look at how many skylanders i have!"

The stickies have reduced clutter, but hardly removed it completely. The random "Look what I just got!" thread still get started from time to time. Personally I'd rather see the mods chuck those new thread into the proper thread every time they were generated. Given some of the younger crowd around the forums though, I sadly don't ever see the problem being stopped fully.

Personally I think the Sales, Customs, Mega Blocks, Prototype are pointless as stickies. Thats just my opinion though.

Ive been to boards where the first page is stickies. 7 is fine in my opinion but agree it's the "yellow" zone. Certain stickies should be evaluated and removed as it's no longer needed.

As an aside, it would be nice for the board to allow you to filter threads by type.
