EDIT: I just watched it myself... Poor Tom... Though I actually liked Jerry in that episode...

They did something like this with Plankton in Spongebob.
And they made it look like Squidward was going to do it at least two times in this episode.

I recall older cartoons having some dark ****. Those black and white ones...I remember something that was kinda scary.

I always liked Jerry more as a child. I always thought of him as an underdog, and plus it felt good to be on the winning team- he bested Tom so often.
But these days, I like Tom more. Partially because I like cats more than mice now, and mostly because I'm seeing how mean (and dare I say OP? smilie) Jerry is.

Let's not forget that these cartoons weren't originally made specifically for kids.

Also Tom & Jerry is the **** and I will have nobody tell me otherwise.

I saw the episode a lot of times as a kid. I don't think my parents saw it, however. It creeped me out as a kid, though I didn't understand it completely. Now I do.

And according to the Wikipedia article, it has never aired on Cartoon Network or Boomerang in America, yet I remember seeing it on both channels. That's a bit weird...



Same here. I remembered seeing it on Cartoon Network a few years ago.
