I don't see how it is bothering people. People don't have to click on the Pokémon threads if they don't want to. It's the same as any other thread except it's about something you don't care about. If I could eliminate all the threads in S&N that I don't read because I couldn't even care less, well then S&N would be near non-existent.

I counted, and there are about 12 Pokemon topics (I counted this one, too) in the S&N section alone, and I'm guessing they're all pretty much about the same thing, with that new game coming out and all. First of all, there's a gaming section on the forum. Second of all, there's no need to waste space on the site just to feel the pleasure of creating your very own "special" Pokemon topic. Talk about it on an already made topic. You guys are acting like the game is the most amazing thing ever that will save the world or something. I know you're excited, but damn it's just a game...
