I picked the inside of my ear with my little finger nail and it bled. It bled a bit more than I usually does (I don't pick often). I now can't hear out of it properly. I can still hear but it's quieter like when you have water in your ear. When I put my ear near a wall or turn my head to the right (It's the right ear) I can hear a bit of tinnitus.

Um, see a doctor? It's likely you only damaged the wall of your external auditory canal, but if there's a possibility of damage to your eardrum, you need to see a specialist ASAP. <.<;

Did you apply pressure to the part that's bleeding? That might help the bleeding stop.

If it doesn't get better within a few days, you should go see a doctor.
I hope it gets better soon c: |

you shouldn't do that!
yes, it could bleed. next time, try it with a Q-tip. if it continues to bleed, put pressure on your ear with a napkin and go see a doctor. get better! ![]() |

You really should have that checked by a doctor. Blood from the ear could be serious.

Honestly in that situation I would just take a tissue and shove it in my ear and leave it there for about a minute. Then I would take it out and see if it's still bleeding. As dumb as my methods seem they usually work for me

^yes it is effecting my brain now actually since it's got WORSE by me now having tinitus in that ear.
![]() I know temporary tinitus can be caused by blocked ears with wax and stuff. I'm getting some drops. ;~; |

If it's still bleeding then focus on stopping that first. Tissues, cotton, I don't know. Whatever you have. If it's already clotted and stuff, maybe the blood's blocking your ear? (Could be causing the tinitus, maybe) Otherwise, don't try to stress yourself too much about it. See a doctor as soon as you can and get it checked out. It's probably just temporary, but they'll know what to do.
Hope it gets better soon. ;w;

It didn't bleed for very long.
I went to the doctors. She looked in my ear and said it wasn't blocked and my ear drum looked normal. My hearing has come back but I've had tinnitus all day. It's quietened down when I got to school by a lot but I could still hear it if I was in a silent room. It now appears to have stopped. it got quieter gradually through out the the day then BAM. really loud for about 8 seconds then stopped altogether. Unless it's so quiet I can barely hear it now. I hope it never happens again ;~; |
