From what I can remember, I'm pretty sure Hercules, The Incredibles, Tangled, and Brave are like the only Disney films where you see the parents make it through the whole thing.

Does Disney like hate parents or something? I mean, in like every Disney movie, one of if not both of the parents are always dead or missing.

Well actually I think they are trying to show how stressed the characters can get in such (and certain) situations to relate to people and possibly make them feel better at the end of the movie. Possibly though.
