My dad uses the D-pad on the PlayStation controller, but I've always found the analogue stick easier to use. He tried to teach me to use the arrows but I refused what do you lot find easier?

Definitely analogue stick for Spyro - it's a 3D game, why would you want to use a D-Pad?

When the first Spyro game came out I used the D-Pad to play because they were the controls I was used to using (the console that I had before a PS1 was a Super Nintendo). Now that I am used to playing games with an analogue stick that's what I use to play classic Spyro games with now.

On the PSP1000 using the D-Pad is actually more comfortable because the thumbstick on the system sucks. On anything with a proper analogue stick, analogue stick is unquestionably better.

Analogue stick is best for 3D platformers in my opinion.

Analogue stick, I don't see how anyone could prefer the D-Pad for a 3D Roaming game. ;3;

For the past ten years, I've always stuck by the analog stick.
Before then, I didn't enjoy using the analog at all. I was brought up with just the d-pad on the controller, before Dual Shock analog was even invented, lol. |

Analog stick. D-pad does it for the handheld games, but the stick is just the precision you need for 3D plataforming.

At the first time when I was younger I used to play all my PSOne games with the D-pad. But now I love using the analog stick >.<

With the Tomb Raider games that I play on the PS1, I have no choice but to play them with the D-pad, because when you switch on the Analog, it pauses the game and a message appears telling you there's no controller in the port, when their clearly is, and it's just the developer didn't program it in, even in the later Tomb Raider games when the analog was avaliable to use by then.

When I had the original PlayStation controller w/o the analog(ue) sticks, I used the d-pad to play games. Now I almost use the analog(ue) sticks almost exclusively, unless I want to give myself a challenge to play using only he d-pad. I only use the d-pad on the in-game menus.

When I first played a Playstation, I would use the d-pad. But when I first played PS2 games that required the analogue stick, I got used to using that. I recently replayed Crash Bandicoot 2 on my PS3 and I had to use the d-pad for some reason which felt weird at first.

I always had a DualShock with analogue sticks, so I've always used them. Except for Crash Bandicoot 2, because I can't. <.>

I like the D-pad better. I'm just used to it because it was all I used when I was a kid and if I have an option in a game to use it, I most likely will. I'm okay with the analog stick too though.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find whatever character I'm playing then extremely hard to control when using the D-pad.
