I'm referring to actually living in the country, not heritage. Sorry for the confusion.

I live in the neighboring country, so if there are no swedes to answer your questions you could try asking me.
Our countries are very similar, even though the average finn hates swedes and vice versa.

It's a "casual hatred" -sorta thing. Sweden and Finland rival each other in sports and all kinds of statistics.

Oh okay, now I understand. ^.^

I might be wrong (but I don't think I am) but didn't the Swedish hockey team beat the crap out of the Finland hockey team not to long ago, hmm? lol smilie

Really Samius...read this my friend and weep...lol smilie

This is from the Olympics Hockey 2014 semi-finals.

Sweden defeated Finland by a 2-1 score on Friday, as it came from 1-0 down to score two second-period goals and rode that lead for a defensive win.

After a scoreless first period, Finland scored on a bad-angle shot from Olli Jokinen that squeaked through the legs of Henrik Lundqvist.

Sweden answered on a goal by Loui Eriksson on a nice feed from Jonathan Ericsson and took the lead later in the period on a power-play, one-time slap shot by Erik Karlsson.

That turned out to be all the offense that Sweden needed, as it denied chances and got 25 saves from Henrik Lundqvist to advance to the gold-medal game for the second time in three Olympics.

Sweden 2, Finland 1. Final.

Hey, if you're trying to impress me with those statistics it's no use. Sweden has top-notch players and we know that.

Thats exactly why the 6-1 WC final a few years ago was all the sweeter.

I was specifically looking for someone who lives/lived in Sweden because I have a few questions about the country, contemplating moving there at some point.

Oh, I see. Well as far as I know it's a good place to live. You can do pretty nicely there with just english also.

But you better like muslim immigrants...

I'm only half Swedish, but every member of my mum's family used to - or does - live in Sweden. I could pass on some questions, if you'd like. c:
