It... actually makes sense. The only reason Undead would have worked is because that's "the dark element" and Kaos is a dark guy, but he is not undead, nor does he work with undead or raise them. ...But then again, is Rattle Shake in any way undead?

If you take off his tail and leave him with legs then he is technically dead(well all of them would be)

I would have been very surprised if he was anything except magic. He uses magic after all.

He uses magic spells in SSA. Probably how spyro uses magic to control the other elements. Rivalry etc

Considering he seems to be pretty good at magitek(Drill-X,his crystal suit,half the stuff in the Kastle), he's more towards being both Magic and Tech,though. But we can't know for sure, since his card back in SSA April's Fools was of the Kaos element :U

I'll still buy 17 crystals: 16, two of each element;1, the Kaos crystal. He is so evil he needs a special crystal for himself (in my opinion).

Snake= Venom injecting creatures (mostly)
Venom= Death
Death= Skeletons
Skeletons= Undead

That's kind of a stretch.

Undead is a nod to the more supernatural/"dark" characters. Snakes tend to get the short end of the stick and be seen as bad thanks to the Bible story of the Garden of Eden with that one being the Tempter who brings about Original Sin.

Snakes are also powerful symbols in other cultures (sometimes evil, sometimes good). Mix that with Cowboy swagger (they often deal with death don't they? They also wear snakeskin, get it!) and a Mexican accent for good measure (Aztec nod?) and you have a very unique character that would be out of place in any other element.

You want a strange placement? Try Dino-Rang or Grill freaking Drilla.

If there are 2 more elements like some suggested, they would no doubt be Dark/Light.
