A sequel was rather desired instead of the prequel we got. As nice as a bit of an origin story is, I'd have rather had more about Sully reuniting with Boo instead.

I honestly want to see a movie like this.

Maybe have the movie focus on Boo, since the last 2 movies both focused on Mike and Sully.

actually they are coming out with a sequel to monsters inc where sully does reunite with boo, the promotional artwork is truly heartwarming:
