Or neither of them? What do you guys prefer?

I prefer the Dubs. I was never really fond with the Japanese voices or how they express emotion :/

I typically prefer dub. It's just often easier and better to hear it than trying to keep up with the subtitles.

However, I do have some exceptions. Cardcaptor Sakura MUST be watched subbed. One Piece, I don't like the Funimation voices. 4Kids had good voice actors, but was edited of course. Truly, just read the manga for One Piece.

dubs if available unless it's been censored to death

I'm ok with both. I mean, as long as the dub is well done.
But I find myself automatically putting on subs, even when dubs are available.

Also! I just can't skip that "Onii-chan!"

Dubs, because I can't keep up with the subtitles and I don't really like pausing every two seconds to get the story or anything like that.

Besides that, there might be some awesome voices, who wouldn't want to hear Johnny Yong Bosch, or Austin Tindle, or Luci Christian? Then when watching anime you go like "I KNOW THAT VOICE! *Looks it up*"?

...Well, I guess no one but me. ;-;

I'd personally go dub over subs, as long as no story-important content is removed or censored. If there's only subs available, I'm cool with that too.

If the dub is at least okay, I'll take the dub. Subtitles have proven more accurate for me though so I usually go with them.

Dubs, because I don't like reading all that much and Japanese voices drive me insane.

Subbed, I can't stand dubbed, it's horrible and ruins the anime in my opinion. I prefer watching things in their original language.

I honestly don't care.

If the subtitles stay on the screen long enough, I'll watch it subbed. However, I hate reading while watching anything, so I usually watch the dub (if there is one, that is).

And am I the only one who thinks it's stupid when insane anime fans insult other anime fans for watching english dubs?

Eh, I think it is.

I generally use subs. To be fair tho I only really recently started watching anime last year, and all the anime I watched was too recent to have dubs in the first place, so it's more a force of habit than anything else. The only dub I've watched is FMA, which I found really good, so who knows.

Usually subbed, but I can watch dubbed anime so long as there isn't huge changes (like what 4kids tend to do), the likes of Wolf's rain, death note and Soul eater I watch dubbed.

Sometimes the voices are better in English, and sometimes better in Japanese, so it varies there too xD

It depends entirely on the anime, especially since voice acting is important to me.

For "the big 'uns", like Naruto and DBZ, I'd watch it dubbed. I think the actors are fine for the most part.

I watched Sonic X subbed because I can't stand the voice direction in the dub (the actors are good, the voice direction was just bad), a lot of the dialogue is heavily changed to either censor a joke or sugar coat an important plot point (or change it outright). There were also a lot of scenes removed from the dub. And the dub ruins much of the characterisation.

I watched the Kirby anime dubbed, though, despite it being dubbed by 4Kids like Sonic X. This is because the voice direction was handled REALLY well for the most part, the cut/edited content was not so bothersome, the show has far less serious plot points, and nothing felt to jarring. I know the English dub ruined the episode order which caused some continuity issues, but the Youtube channel I used to watch the dub had the episodes according to the Japanese order, and while the show's finale was a feature length film in Japan, and split up for the dub, I simply watched an upload that had all 4 parts from the English dub put together.

Right now, I'm watching the F-Zero anime, which is also dubbed by 4Kids, but I am watching this one subbed, as I wasn't liking the voices for the characters in the dub, and it's a more serious show, so it would likely have a lot of censored content. I also hear the dub was never finished anyway.

For me, subbed. Pretty much always. I'm used to watching with subtitles and I can read them pretty fast. Even if I occasionally (rarely, though) do miss a sentence while I'm focusing on the actual anime - for example, during a high-speed battle scene - it doesn't bother me. I know enough Japanese to get the basic gist of what they're saying most of the time.

I generally try to avoid dubs, because the majority of my favourite animes have shocking English voice actors. I'm not saying they're bad, but there's always at least one voice that's completely different from the original and changes the feel of the character. ..Plus, a lot of voice actors in the dubs I've watched have those really annoying squeaky kind of voices. >.>

I don't dislike all English dubs, only a few. Most of the time I just get unsettled because of one character's voice. There are actually a few animes in which I prefer the dubbed version to a subtitled one, but that's because I went through the entire anime several times watching the dub and only the dub. If I watch the subtitled version it just feels wrong because I'm used to the English voice actors. Granted, this is only because I watched them when they aired locally on television, but still. (Kind of like watching Astro Boy countless times on television then feeling weird when you hear the Japanese version, because it sounds wrong in comparison to what you know.)
