Well **** them, keep reading Divergent, screw the parent, they aren't involved in the school's clubs, and if their child is reading the book voluntarily then she can't do a damn thing.

Accoring to a friend in the club, the new book has referenced heroin, the KKK, and other wonderful stuff. Facepalm.

Why did you facepalm when I didn't know what books you are reading and didn't maintain them on this topic?

--- I was facepalming as a reaction to the nature of the new book. Sorry for misunderstandings.

Sorry to hear about that. A single parent complaint over something that isn't even an issue or can easily be resolved without eliminating it completely ruined a couple things at my school too.

but i love it all smooth

While this isn't exactly book related, it is on topic. At my high school a coach had to resign because of one parent complaint. From what I've heard, he seemed like a good person as well as a great coach, I guess someone's little princess didn't like how he coached the team.

Hmm yeah no idea why they would complain. I mean the book only has a girl falling off a building in the first 5 chapters, a guy getting stabbed in the eye, another guy commiting suicide, the slaughter of 100s of people and various mentionings of sex. No reason what-so-ever why a parent would be cautious about 13 year olds reading it...

I mean it's still kinda dumb, but I can understand why they did.
