Recently finished a FireStar and it sucked big time. It was waaaaaay to confusing and it seemed to be religious propaganda (something I wouldn't have expected from a book ABOUT DRAGONS and MAGICAL ALIENS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION). I'm now reading Attica, it's terribly creepy.

What's Attica about?

It's about three step sibilings going up to the attic in their new house with their cat Nelson. They end up locking themselves in and the attic expands horizontally forever, so they all get lost in it. Not to mention, there are strange creates and most objects are sentient. They even find other kids who have been up their for decades but never aged, it seems like time doesn't exist there and the kids are being brainwashed by the attic to willingly dwell in it forever.

I think I read that. Was there a character named David and something about polar bears and dragons?

Yes, and an evil shape shifting witch who gets frozen randomly as a raven in the middle of the Arctic.

Yep, I remember it. I hated it, personally. Which was a shame, because I really liked the first two books.

I didn't read the first books, so can't have an opinion on those.

I really need to find more time to read. I have a bunch of books just sitting on my desk ready to be read/finished (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Stephen King's IT, I Am Legend, The Celestine Prophecy, Wolves of the Beyond book 1, an illustrated computer book, etc.).
However, I'm currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird for my English class.

Percy Jackson is the most well written book series of all time, and you all know it.
Still siting for the epic conclusion to the whole Greek vs roman shebang and then you can put Ol Percy and Pals to rest, right Rick Riordan?
Right?

They're great, but I wouldn't exactly call them "the most well written book series of all time". They're good, but not in an "I could write a 500 word English essay on this" kinda way. More just an "I like the characters and the plot's interesting" kinda way.

Currently reading Insurgent and the latest Seekers book which came out recently. Also trying to get through Eldest but it's taking forever to get past the first third of the book (literally longer than a year).

i'm only still reading seekers because i want to know what happens to the characters (the second series is all pointless filler wtf), since I adore Toklo and Lusa so much <3
and i'm only continuing Veronica Roth's trilogy because of a certain new point of view in the last book, which i think will be very interesting

I used to love Warriors but kind of gave up on it after it started getting milked like crazy. I only continued reading till The Last Hope because of Jayfeather. Also tried the Guardians of Gahool series because I enjoyed the movie but the writing was so terrible I stopped reading after the second book.

goddammit i need new books that i will actually enjoy reading. I can only think of A Game of Thrones at the moment.

I don't know it, 'cause I haven't read it, and I don't really have any interest in reading it. And I doubt you've read every single book series out there, so you can't exactly say it's the most well written series.

I gave up on that series after reading the first book. It just didn't appeal that much to me. I understand why others may like it though. Mythology is a very interesting topic, and Percy is a likeable protagonist. Sprinkle in some witty humor and you have a good book.
