Well, I had an older thread similar to this, where I listed the production numbers on the bottom of my Skylanders I had laying around. I copied most of them from my old thread, but I added a few i've obtained since the last time i've updated the old one. will update as I get more Skylanders, and feel free to list your production numbers too.

Has anyone decoded these?
I'll start by saying I have an incomplete collection, so any kind on inclusive wording here only means from the ones I have. From my collection, the first character is either A, N, S, E, W, or L. They are compass directions except for A and L. I only have L on both of my Giants-series lightcores and Legendary Trigger Happy. Just a guess, that these might have to do with the factory location. However my SSA toys all have the same pool of letters so if they added factories after SSA, it wouldn't make as much sense. The two numbers sandwiched in the middle seem to be the year, it's pretty obvious. At the end, some toys are marked with an A at the end. It seems like variants (chase, alt deco, etc) mostly have A's. Some examples of ones I have that have A's: Characters/items from battle or adventure packs My SSA sidekicks don't have an A, but my Giants ones do. Clear Cynder (probably applies to all chase variants) Alt deco (Molten Hot Dog, Jade Flashwing, etc. minus legendaries or SSA Dark Spyro) Other variants (blue Bash, etc. minus GITD Cynder) Some other seemingly random ones (s1 Warnado, Fright Rider, s2 Drobot) *not an inclusive list, but some examples

I own 2 figures without the numbers. They could be factory samples (bought loose from China).

Found an odd correlation. It seems that all figures with an "S" at the beginning of their number are all figures from starter packs. Doesn't neccesarily work the other way though. My Tree Rex is an L series.
