I honestly thought you misspelled 'Mango's'

And Pokémon Adventure is amazing if you are a fan of the franchise.

I like them, some of my friends how I can read them since they go backwards, yet it only sometimes gets hard reading American comics since I'm so use to manga.

I like the One Piece manga. Durarara is good too. If you're into DNAngel, the manga is very different from the anime. Few events actually occur in both. The same goes with the Yu-Gi-Oh GX manga, completely different plot from the anime.

Pokemon Adventures is a nice series as well, though I've only read up to part of Yellow saga.

Yeah, I would say so. It depends on the anime really tho. Like if it's something like Fullmetal alchemist where the entire plot of the manga has been accurately covered in the anime, then I wouldn't bother, but if it's an ongoing anime and you don't want to wait for new episodes or seasons, then yeah I'd do it. I'm reading the noragami manga right now and I'd highly recommend that.

In my opinion manga are only worth reading if the anime ether sucks, has an original ending/doesn't cover manga or the anime hasn't covered a lot and you want to find out what happens.
Or if it's like Noragami where the anime is faithful yet also jumbles events up and replaces certain scenes, then maybe read the manga just to see the differences and what the story is meant to be.

If the manga has an anime adaption that is faithful to it and will follow it all the way through, with exception for filler, then the anime is more worth it, and you can just skip the filler seasons if they're terrible.

So yeah IMO it's best to just read manga when it's truly required.

i've only read a few mangas before and i don't follow anime or manga very well. but since the OP asked for recommendations:

i thought Franken Fran was really great in the early chapters. the ending completely lacked iirc though. most of it is really cool if you're into biology and human anatomy and whatnot. it's pretty odd and there's quite a bit of gore though

Rosario + Vampire is a good manga if you like monsters and fanservice

i never finished Black Bird but if you like romance and birds/demons/tengus you'd like it

i never finished this either, but i'd recommend Black Cat if you like action. it has an interesting plot

never read all of this either but Alice in the Country of Hearts is great for you if you like romance and Alice in Wonderland

Wolf Guy: Ookami no Monshou is great if you like action, werewolves, and romance but iirc it has a lot of rape in the later chapters... it's just generally nsfw i guess

and that's most of the manga i've read

Here. http://openawesome.com/junjiito.html

Read them, preferably alone and in complete darkness. They're horror mangas, mostly short stories.

Here are the ones I really liked:

- Oshikiri Walls
- The Story of the Mysterious Tunnel
- The Heart of a Father
- Songs in the Dark
- Alone With You
- Enigma of Amigara Fault
- The Long Dream
- The Seashore
- Hanging Balloons
- Secret of the Haunted Mansion
- Hallucinations
- Thing that Drifted Ashore
- The Window Next Door
- Town Without Streets
- GraveTown
- Love as Scripted
- The Bronze Statue
- The Sound of Grass

As far as art when compared to anime, manga is quite nicer to look at.

It all depends on the type of story. If it's more story based, go for the manga. If you're more interested in action, watch anime.

I like reading them alone. Reading Attack On Titan gets weird at school.

Yes. Some are good.

If you are into mythical stuff with the eastern culture I'd recommend Touhou: Silent Sinner in Blue or basically any translated Touhou manga.

I heard the Shingeki no Kyogin: Attack on Titan manga is good. I heard there was manga that takes place 70 (or some where near) years before Attack on Titan event. Still check out some SNK manga.

I need to read the Deadman Wonderland manga.....

I don't really read manga as much anymore. I only read Naruto and one piece now. I'll read the mangas for things that people say just got not very amazing compared to the manga anime adaptations (deadman wonderland has way better manga reviews than anime)

Yotsuba is awesome
