For the first time I'd say that's pretty good. I never took the SAT myself, always found the ACT much easier so I went that path.

For people who don't know: SATs are more or less standardized tests in the US for high school students. They are more or less the most important test you will take in high school, as a huge amount of colleges and universities use your SAT scores to determine how well you fit into their school.
Think GCSE (or whatever the Canadian/Australian/Kiwi equivalent is) but probably with a smaller range of subjects. EDIT: Also I didn't take the SATs yet. |

SATs over here are taken before going into secondary school and help you if you want to get into a better school.
GCSEs are qualifications awarded in chosen subjects when you're in secondary school usually between ages of 14-16

No problem! And I wasn't even aware I could take it this early. I know this and last year my school offered PSATs that we had to pay a small fee to take (I didn't take, but I wish I did. Probably next year though), but I'll have to look into the SATs. I thought we had to take SATs junior or senior year... Goes to show how clueless I am about the state testing ![]()

Standardized testing is a pox on our education system. (Totally not saying that because I still have the MCATs to look forward to...) Anyhow, as to your question. That seems like a pretty average score. I know some people say the average for the current SATs is 1500. But it's really more like a range of 1500-1800. Not that it really matters, you can keep taking that test as many times as you want. Personally, of the two testing behemoths, the ACT is the current lesser of 2 evils. <.<;
