Hey everybody! I am a huge Call of Duty fan. I've been thinking about setting the World Record for longest amount of consecutive hours played on a First Person Shooter (FPS) game. I have looked up the amount of time and it is quite long but you get a 10 minute break every hour. I have had "all nighters" otherwise known as nights when I just play video game hours on end. Once I did it from 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. (I usually don't do this. I am not addicted. I only play on weekends with about three hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.). But I have a feeling and so do my parents that I could break the record. Let me know if you guys think I should try to beat this record this summer. If I do I'll let you guys know when I sign the application and if I beat the record!

There are known instances where people who attempted world records that involved playing video games for days straight died, I remember two guys who played for 48 hours straight died trying to break the record for longest time playing a video game with no breaks.

It's a tied world record for the fastest KO of Glass Joe in Punch Out!!.

@Lunarz - You have a point. I have done some research on that and like you have said they did not have breaks unlike the Guinness rules where you are required to have a ten minute break every hour. Also Guinness officials will be present the duration of the time I'll be playing.
