Yeah but what if they couldn't fly over it... Like if you put your hand above a fire you hand will still burn... So if they fly above the fire it'll be no different than going through it... Also, there wings would be burnt... |

Yeah, but it still wasn't that high...Fly up about a mile and they could've easily made it.

That's Shrazer320's beef. She keeps saying they should have run or flown. Maybe Ignitus couldn't fly with the sheild around him. Some would argue but if they flew they wouldn't be in the fire. Well there's one problem with that: Even though they're not in the flames, the heat would still rise and it would be unbearably hot in or above the flames.
Dragon scales are durable and one would think Ignitus would be tolerant of fire, considering it's his element. But there is speculation that it was magic fire and that Malefor wanted Ignitus to die because it would severely damage Spyro's Morale. I wish he could have lived through the belt of fire though, then he would fight with Spyro and Cynder and maybe you could play as him.

mabye idk if it was possible or not but after deteating Malefor for about the 3rd time you'll get to see Ignitus's spirit talking to Spyro telling him that those that die aren't truly gone that their spirits remain binding themselves with nature, offering hope for the future.

Ignitus' death when navigating the Ring of Fire was so stupid and pointless. They definitely could have flown over it, or instead of walking slowly and anti-epically, why not run? Or, Ignitus could have thrown all three of them through the fire with that shield.

Let's all go through the wall of fire for senseless unexplained reasons when we could easily avoid it without getting singed!

If they can BREATH fire from their mouths, they should be able to handle fire on the outside where it is much more durable and resistent. |

They could off. Cynder can always use wind to keep the fire back if it gets to high. And Spyro could use ice.

FAIL! No it doesn't... Everyone thinks it does but it doesn't actualy do anything... There is oxygen in water... Even though its only a bit its still enough to make the fire stronger... If only a little bit... And then the water is evaporated... |

It didn't look that high to fly over, they could of easily gone over. But maybe Malefor's army or whatever could of attaked them from above. I dunno. Spyro, Cynder and Ignitus should of flown over the Belt of Fire, I was surprised they didn't.

They could use the rising heat to aid in flying. 83 Quote: Cynder_543
Water has oxygen in it, the only thing fire needs to live besides something to burn. And, ALL fire is above 210degrees F (water's evaporating point). |

Clearly there was something we were never told about that would make flying over unwise.
So far as I can tell, the reason for them to walk through would be the shield most likely took a lot of consentration, and running would make it hard to focus. Either that or it is just harder to maintain while moving (as seen by the fact Ignitus had no problem holding it while standing around talking), and running would make it harder still. |
