What kinds of BBCodes does the Guestbook Announcement supports?

I kinda like the idea of rating comments. That could show a status of post content. Kinda like gaining respect for worthwhile posts.

Kicker there is friends would vote high, and haters would vote low.

You can already quote... Just use the quote codes but edit you can't do... Probably for the same reason why you cant deleat your own post on someone elses guestbook...

I've been thinking about the fact that you (dark52) plan to add themes in the future.

I thought it would be quite creative making the themes according to the main colors of the menu of each game.

Each game? No. I see that being denied. dark52 is a very busy man and making themes takes a lot of time and is hard to install.

You have it where we can upload images in our Geust book as well as youtube videos but yet that hasn't been fixed. Also i hate it where you can't send youtube and images in your PM but thats probarly stoped because of DARK because on my forum he would show pictures of mens *um thingies* in my PM box T_T

I heard that the images was stopped because of Dopple.

Since darkSpyro's birthday yesterday, I remembered the old times, and I thought it would be cool being able to use old theme as an option, but with organized menus and the header image on.

Another thing it would be nice, the headr buttons and images turn wide when "View Widescreen" is on, but not just enlarging, but picking the rest of the image instead

It seems tricky of what to think of as an option. Luckily there are more than 1,000,000 things to think of though.

NOOB EXPLANATION XD:
you will be able to change the design of the website(background, images, colour, of the tables, forumdesign... basically everythig that's graphic including the colour of the letters etc. just by changing some entries in a loong and complicated text.
if you want to see what i mean click with your right mousebutton on the website and go to source code/text.

IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CSS:
most of the CSS scripts are linked to a special folder instead of being in the source code/text directly as usual. and this folder is saved on the website but you can download it and if you did so the website gets the CSS information from this folder including all the visual elements(pictures, icons...) so all the graphic elements of the cource text/code are linked on your pc, that disburdes the servers and makes the website faster but the best is, that you can change the CSS code and with the code also the look of the website changes. very cool, people can create graphic packs, upload them and other people can download them to get the same design^^


basically it's like making themes and it makes a lot of fun^^ but as i said... Im not sure but i guess it will take a lot of time cause dark52 would have to rewrite the cource text-.-

Sounds good. Maby you have to use about 20 gems to change it? That way, people won't go abusing it and change it about 100 times a day. And gems will be usful because, at the moment, they are only there so you can go up to the next rank.

Well I got an idea from another forum that we (Everybody on that site more or less) liked it.... It's a Spam Forum... If you want to say anything that is spam or just be stupid you can do it there as long as there is nothing bad for say on it...

Edit: Also mabey like what youtube does with it's commenting system would be nice so that people don't go crazy..... mabey.... lol

I don't think so, he denied most of the elements like backgrounds, bolt colour etc. and i can understand that cause the forums would look weird if everyone would write in another text colour¬¬ and if everybody would be able to upload his own background it would just pollute the servers and waste too much webspace. but graphic packs are working on your PC so the changes like the different text colour would just be visible for you, and the backgrounds are placed on your PC including all graphic elements. that's a great release for the servers, make them faster and make space for some new cool features that normally haven't been accepted. except the time it takes to do that i just see advantages but this also depends on the source text^^

Yeah, like with the header image, the type off one you chose is only visible to you. Therefor, everyone can have different header images, not the same one. It could be the same for the "graphicpacks".

Some forums don't even highlight why members are banned. Usually, the only way to know is to ask.
