idk, something about how it felt to talk with friends here back in 2012, a whole 12 years ago now (seriously half of my entire LIFE) and I get nostalgic. It’s an online experience I never really captured again, as well as the year afterward with all the Survivor thread activity in summer 2013. I was only active here for less than a year, but it left an impression on my life.

Maybe I’m not really sure what the point here is, but it’s nice to look in sometimes and see a lot of the faces that were around back then, even if only sometimes now.

Forums are cozy, what can I say

forums and sometimes chatrooms are where it is at. obviously social media has removed them from any form of relevance because social media is a poison to human kind in almost every way which is a shame but i do miss the days of the old forum based communities on the internet.

every so often i looked for old "friends" i used to speak with but never seem to have any luck. there are a few i truly wonder where they are in life now.


this site for me is weird it was pretty much irrelevant in the set of a few different forums i was a part of at first.

then around COVID i now can understand why so many users have also said this place or people on here kind of had a terrible effect or uined their life for a time becsuse it introduced me only then after 15 years almost of being here the first truly bad experiences and person who safe to say kind of destroyed what was fhe current state of my life.

but that was the only true bad experince for me personally

well other then that perood of timebwhen i had a dozen stans and stalker boys uo my behind circa 2017/2018.

and now it is back to normal just a fun little hobby forum to post nonsense on.


i think no matter good or bad soemthing consistent about this forum seems to be that it tends to have a powerful effect on a lot of the users who have been around here. weird. being a site dedicated to what it is about.

need a study done on this fandom.

hoot to see an old face come back around i hope you enjoy whatever time you decide to spend back on the forum.

darkspyro is for LIFE not just for christmas.

Although I was on this forum a lot in my childhood, I do not have that connection most users seem to. I was pretty young, so I could not really connect with others in the way most others could. I do often miss a few users--Cynderfan and Whirlwind are two I think about a lot (EDIT: also another user i think her name was heather but i cant remember her username... CynderLuv? Maybe? aaa sorry Heather;;;)--but looking back on darkSpyro... It was just an escape. I did not really make meaningful connections. The few that I did ended up being...creepy and toxic. But I do not blame the forum. I thankfully stayed away from the bad users, but...

All that to say, I agree with Bifrost. Forums are cozy. Although my memories are more...meh...this place feels like a warm campfire on a dreary and rainy day.

I miss forums even if most of y'all didn't like me back in 2012-2013. I look back on those days fondly as I remember what a complete utter dunce I was.

Y'all were a good crew. I think about everyone here and hope everyone is doing well.

we were kids, nothing mattered. it's good to see you around again, giving me doses of nostalgia :')

I also miss forums. One of my irl besties and I are officially forum goers and I only found out recently. The stories they have to tell. Bonkers

Survivor was probably the favorite thing I ever had any part of, it really felt like a super cool thing to do even if I realize my attempts to help come up with rules made no sense lmao
