Hi all, as the title states, are there still avid collectors of skylanders out there? My wife and I started day one and basically have almost every character besides the chase/metalics/flocked/etc.
Slowly but surely we are still collecting and enjoying the game. We recently just completed all the employee created skylanders!! I think we have a total of around 370 figures. If anyone cares to see I would be happy to post a few pics of the hard to finds! Also, if you have some rare ones and looking to get rid of them let me know

That's awesome, tytra! I knew I never had a chance at employee versions or most of the chase figures (although I got a couple of chase figures that popped up on Gamestop.com from time to time). But I have every standard release toy including things like volcanic vault, UFO hat and yawn traps. Beyond that I have two E3 exclusive figures (Riot Shield Shredder trap and event exclusive Hot Streak) since those show up in-game.

I do have all the figures from the various Frito-Lay promotions stashed away.

Sweet, ya I am currently working on the crystal clear versions, and the ones I am actually missing are the 3 frito lays hot dogs lol. I am also trying for the chase variants from imaginators but those are very expensive at this point ;/

I do! Waiting for them too go on sale at my toys r us for imaginat9rs. I donated to second life a few years ago so while I've never gotten 9r found a chase, I have several autographed proto types

My collecting is pretty boring at this point. I got one of each playable character (either the original or a lightcore/variant). I just wanted my kids and me to have access to each character in the game, as well as all bonus levels etc. So now that the craze is over, if I find a variant for really cheap, I'll go ahead and snag it. Haven't found any chase variants yet, but that was never the intention of my collecting. The kinds of things I have gotten lately are a regular Ninjini, because I'd gotten the Scarlet version way back when, and the ssa and lighthouse Hex, because all three were on the TRU 50 cent sale. I could've bought the Solar Aurora at the target half off sale, but honestly, $7 is still too expensive when we've already got the regular.

I keep my eye out at second hand stores though. I saw a Dark Blast Zone at one, and would've gotten it but they had priced it at $5, and I wasn't even interested in paying that much. I have gotten some goodies there though. Arkeyan crossbow was only a buck. Wouldn't have otherwise gotten bonus arenas, but that one was fun.

I just need 2 of each of the following:

Creation Crystals = Air Acorn, Earth Rune, Fire Angel, Tech Pyramid, Light Angel

Skylander = Heartbreaker Buckshot

I’m considering completing the collection, except maybe the Yawn Traps.

ever since Activision hasn't been releasing new Skylanders, I haven't been collecting anything new, except for some Amiibos. but hopefully they'll give us some more to collect someday. (heck, I wouldn't mind if they ether re-release the older games for the new consoles or update the older games to let the new Skylanders become playable)

Got all these for $1 each at TRU today!

My local TRU had a bunch of 'landers for $0.79/ea last weekend.

Picked up Imaginators Starter Pack for Xbox One at Five Below for $5 this past weekend.

Thought about picking up a Superchargers Xbox One portal so I could eventually scan in traps, thinking it would only be a few dollars on eBay. Turns out Xbox One portals are hard to find I guess. Cheapest I saw was $12, not worth it. I'm fine with just scanning in Imaginators collection.

I'm still buying rares and the odd variant. I miss the hunt for new Skylanders. But it's hard to justify spending big $ on characters when you know in all likelihood there won't be another console game with physical characters ever again.

I've noticed the prices really starting to drop. I'm getting the odd good deal. Making offers and waiting until they are keen to sell. Not rushing out to buy everything I don't have because one day there will be nothing left to buy. Mind you by that time the chips will probably have started failing.

I am currently recollecting many things in the TTL genre. This includes a good chunk of skylanders stuff. Variants, Reposes, Traps/Extra Traps. Extra Creation Crystals... Though right now I'm focusing on recollecting Disney Infinity, and debating if I want to pick up StarLink. I probably will, because Star Fox on the Switch Version...

Definitely looking forward to Starlink on Switch. Happy to see it’s not just in-space dog fights like I originally thought.

As long as its consumer friendly (every item can be pre-ordered, release days somewhat up front, etc), I’ll collect em all.

slowly got most of imagintors with the tru closings. Still missing a few, plan to work on it slowly over next yr or 2

I’m missing a whopping 4 items to have a complete set of Skylander figures.

Outside of those and chase variants which I may not even care for at this point, that’s the extent of my collecting needs.

If I happen to find a Skylander I don't have at the junk shop , I will probably pick it up .

Found an s1 Eruptor and sonic boom a few weeks back . Had a rotten day and that really helped . Been playing imaginators and finally got round to reset an imaginators Crystal that belonged to someone else .
Probably the reason I came back to play on this forum a bit .

I still regularly play, currently achieving 100% on Giants (got all the trophies long time ago), and still buying some Senseis and Crystals for Imaginators.

Last year I started Trap Team with my lady, so we got a few more "legacy" Skylanders. She's totally focused on her Swap Force for the Wii.

This Christmas I got a long time desired one... Echo! And I was at Edinburgh for a placement these past months and got another few at CeX: Eye-Brawl, Blades, Dark Spitfire, Smolderdash...

It's sad that the Skylander phenomenon is almost dead, I'm still an active collector/player.

yes, but casually. i occasionally see figures i like for sale at local game stores. i'm really mostly interested in buying the ones that have designs i'm into.

not that i know of, but i haven't looked into it for a very long time. i'd suspect it's not too hard to make a spreadsheet for it, though

i used to keep track of mine with good ol pen and paper. wonder where that list went

hello! i started from the very first game of skylanders to supercharger and took a break due to my period of depression and the arrival of amiibo. and there I woke up and I decided to do it again, I miss it a lot, I think. I've already completed my amiibo collection (except I'm only missing 3 of monster hunter stories 2)

welcome! i had to stop collecting a while ago but its cool people are still doing it!

i'll stop collecting when i have every skylanders figure that exists. this includes the prototypes.

I still try to complete my collection (Yawn Light Trap, Enchanted Elven Forest Adventure pack, Pain-Yatta crystal and Chain Reaction crystal variants) but the prices are really too high.

My first goal is to find the adventure pack Enchanted Elven Forest at a no too much highjacked prices. I really want to play this part. Unfortunately this pack was impossible to find at my local stores when it was supposed to be available and I have waited too much time before tried to buy it online.

sometimes it hurt to be a cheapskate and sitting on the fence.

I've ended up starting re collecting again. So far in the past few months I've gotten around 30 Skylanders I never had as a kid.

I'm working towards getting them all eventually (all the non chase ones at least)

I'm basically still in this stage, apart from this I can consider my collection is succesfully finished. It would be amazing if we could find some time to upload and re-upload pics of our entire collections in its topic!

I've been playing again for a year! During the year I found Chompy Mage (the green one, yes!), Robow, Wild Storm, Breeze, Land Racing Action Pack. To start, I'm looking for the hardest ones to get (I still have 10/11 left to find) and I have 198 left to finish. For the moment, I'm not doing the variant chases

I'm still collecting when I can. I lost most of my stuff in a Hurricane about 6 years ago, and rebuying the portals for all the games has been quite the struggle but I'm managing.
Glad to see the games still get some love.

I try to pick up figures when I find them in-person for cheap enough. Life has gotten a bit more serious and adult-y recently, so less money to go around. I still try to make room in the budget for some fun collecting stuff here and there though. Usually I'll go for amiibo, then Disney Infinity, and after that is Skylanders in terms of priority. I was lucky enough to collect just about complete collections of SSA and Giants, which were my main two games back in the day. The later games I don't have anywhere near the nostalgic connection with, so lower priority there for me compared to the Disney and Nintendo characters which are usually just as cheap nowadays.

I work for a charity and we've had loads in over the years, i could have finished nearly 2 more collections by now.

I managed to get everything except the legendary figures and the one of things like Easter specials.

The most expensive thing was the last of the trap crystals, which i had to get from Australia, but overall i've done well.

After a couple recent eBay lots, I’m a series 1 Whamshell away from completing our SSA set. Recently finished collecting Giants and working on Swap Force next. Probably stopping there, though I did complete our Super Chargers set too.

even if i dont collect anymore i still have all my skylanders, and i have no plan to sell them, i will keep them for the rest of my life. the skylanders games are special and was a once a life time experience. been there from day one in 2011 at gamestop, and picking up the game and wonder what the heck this was. from then on being at the gamestop day one picking up the new game and figures, and hunting for skylanders as the new ones got released through the year, fun times, never forget!.. to all the ones that wasnt there and are starting now, the games are still fun and keep on hunting

Recently got a new display case to fit about half my collection . If I find an odd one I never owned I might still buy it . I very much doubt I will actively buy some more from ebay . I actually found a lonesome superchargers Stormblade in the junk shop but I already have one . Pretty much all skylanders have disappeared in my part of the world
