As a byproduct of communism causing refugees it's in my blood to not agree with it. Hoenstly in theory it seems pretty dope to be sane as everybody else but when actually done in history it never works because of human nature. I don't want to call anyone out btw but every communist that I've met are a certain archetype of people

I like a lot of the concepts behind it, but the actual community is questionable. The most common archetype I see is upper middle class young people, as a lot of young people tend to be, they are quite obnoxious. A big problem I see in these communities (as well as other lefty ones in general) is they focus too much on social stuff. The entire point is to pretty much liberate the working class, yet you never see any focus on actual class issues. Most working class people tend to lean somewhat conservative, and are alienated from these communities that are supposed to help them. I really appreciate anarchists for this reason, it's not my favorite ideology but they engage in actual groundwork, a lot of them volunteer at food banks, organize events for charity and are actively involved in their local communities.

i dont know how much to have an opinion on it its barely a thing at this point from what i under or maybe my brain is too tiny to understand the concept of it im not sure but i what i do know is that its really funny to watch conservatives and right wing people throw words like socialism and communism and whatever other negative isms they can think of because they dont understand what they mean that will always be funny

Yeah working class is mostly conservatives because they most likely don't have the further education that left leaning people have. My parents for example are right leaning cause they moved to a new country with nothing and built themselves from up and achieving the American dream. Will that and communism being the reason why they became refugees.

Tbh tho I think a lot of the younger people who see communism as the ideal government don't get that the political ideology doesn't fit the human ideology of selfishness. I think it's because they don't have as much freedom that older people have as most of their life has been dictated by adults or small settings like school where there isn't really any way to see huge life advantages that a boomer working as a manager at McDonald's would have.

That's not to say that thinking that everyone being made to be equal is not bad tho. It's just that communism can only work if everyone is morally good and willing to make sacrifices for others. And those others being people we will never think of or see.

However I do think a capitalist country with a free market is pretty dope

I opened this topic thinking it said “communion” as in the thing Christians do when they eat soft crackers that are Jesus

I might need more sleep, or to get my eyes checked.

This gave me a flashback to that time in sophomore year where one of my friends went off on like a 25 minute rant about Catholicism and the Eucharist after a DnD session, but it was like wintertime when we were walking back, so I was standing awkwardly in front of my apartment waiting for him to finish up his rant so I could go inside and warm up, lol.
