Today's serving is the Klonoa page

Every game is in the same article, screw avoiding spoilers. Every story beat in this baby game is a great subversion, everything is the best or darkest in the history of videogames. The YMMV page spins a whole thing out of two lines from Joka.

People complain CinemaSins caused media illiteracy on an enormous scale but I think the problem started a little befiore it

still reading it but this is in fact beyond comically bad like what

like a decade ago for fun i used to do pretty much the same with stuff mostly anime/tv when the site wasnt as big and some of those pages were the funniest things ever pretty much like this although this gem here might be special

only somewhat good thing i can get from tvtropes at this point is sometimes it works i go to check a show im concerned about might have a trigger of mine in it so i know when and where to skip and it has sometimes helped with that trope wasnt on a page where it shouldve been one time no fun there

I loved Klonoa 1 and 2, that's the worst part; it's a perfectly nice collection but the article writes like the whole series is Ocarina of Time

Oh yeah TvTropes is definately still useful to go "what's the name of the thing that happened in this series/in which series did the thing happen", but I've learned to start glossing over certain tropes that no one writes correctly.
I wish checking for CWs was reliable there though, more than once have I seen tropers deliberately hide that a series has really triggering content and talk of plot points as if the event isn't in there

this causes me so much pain. klonoa has a very special place in my heart
