Ipads are an investment for parents. Ipads can distract them for at least 10 years of infancy. The problem with ipads are that they are super expensive So I recommend an older ipad. Or just give them a toy if they're like under 4.

this. there are so many horrible videos out there that get onto youtube kids that are literally designed to brainwash children. that elsa gate stuff still creeps me out. i was reading about how cocomelon may be stunting emotional development of children and encourages bad behavior. its scary af i wonder what it's like to work with children now.

Mmm no. Parents should learn to parent. It's absurdly dangerous for even a 13 year old to be on the net let alone a lil 5 year old. When all nations start taking predatory behavior on the internet seriously and just actually ****ing take care of that. THEN MAYBE. Right now, hell no.

Dude my little sisters watch either random Russian families in Spiderman/Elsa costumes, surreal violent Peppa Pig parodies and awful my mom gave birth to a dog stories. The brain rot is real.

honestly i dont really see a problem with giving ipads to kids besides the price point and how long they are on it. sure it gives them access to porn or weird kid elsa videos but its not really different to kids playing their gameboys or watching tv shows like fanboy and chumchum. its just kinda the world we live in today. mark zuckerburg got interested in computers as a kid and even had a computer tutor as a child and he became one of the most influential people of all time. and a lizard person. whos to say that one of these iPad kids is gonna be the next harvard graduate to invent some cool social media app and have sex with hot models.

tech really is as accessible as the people using it. like are kids really gonna look up "elsa fart on spiderman take out pp"? yes, which is why parental controls exist. plus tablets have so many apps made for children to actually teach them and not rot their brains like tv. not in just mathematics or reading but cool tools like early entries to coding. and according to this bbc article I cherry picked from google the vocabulary of 13 five-year-olds improved by an average of 27% after using an educational app called Martha Speaks.

fun fact tho texting was a big scare back in the day with making teens unable to socialize. i wouldn't say their social skills lowered at all because its just another way to socialize. same with letters and whatever new thing is being invented

really ipads are just expensive toys because they both are big waste of time that doesn't really help kids at all. but they also double as a tool to improve a kids life. really people who are against it and are below the age of 25 are kinda ironic because lets be honest, everyone in this topic used the internet at a young age or was told by some adult that their ds was gonna make them dumber and we're all pretty fine. well at least some are. really its just the gen z version of saying "back in my day we went outside and played in the mud unlike today's kids and their nintendos" but I'm not a parent so my opinions on parenting don't matter at all lmao
