although this causes a new problem where youtube videos with spyro music are now being taken down. a very obvious outcome i never considered

Yes but it got taken down a few days ago. There have been issues with people getting copyright strikes for Spyro videos after the release so that may be related.

tbh i mostly use youtube out of habit BUT i did get spotify bc i was peer pressured into it

same same just with itunes my reason for itunes though i listen to a lot of korean and japanese music (mostly korean and japanese music always have) sometimes pretty obscure and if i can find it somewhere other than soundcloud its likely on itunes
