Ooh yessss I got my first grad school acceptance email tonight! Such a good feeling. I plan on taking it (unless the other place I'm lined up to visit blows me away, lol). Ya gal's gonna get her PhD.

Thank you! Two of the four PhD programs I applied to rejected me off the bat, so I was starting to sweat a little. But I've heard so many good things about this one and am super excited!

thinking about cynder and spyro being chained together for the majority of dotd. in the game, it's framed as a good thing that encourages them to work together. narratively, this makes sense bc it gives them an emotional arc. BUT i feel like being contrarian.

fr being chained to someone for several days would get really grating. it's obviously unethical. what if spyro wants to go looking for gems while cynder wants to practice her fighting skills? i can just imagine them walking in opposite directions and engaging in a sad tug of war.

My gf obtained a picture frame with the words "hot pepper" on it from an antique store... she decided to print out an entertaining pic of me to put in it, and now it's on her desk. She's so excited about it and has been showing it to literally everyone. I'm so weirdly endeared (though the photo and frame combination has me dying every time I look at it)! What a dork I love her sm lol. Also she's calling me her "hot pepper" now.

Scott pilgrim ending still urks me. Even tho knives was underaged I could see why the og ending with the movie had knives dating Scott. Romona was not suppose to be the end goal of the movie. Throughout the movie Scott was suppose to learn self respect instead of love which he does. But then he gets rewarded with the girl who wasn't really for him?

Still I would have preferred the og ending of Scott ending off with nobody.
