never was interested in them firstly there was the stigma of being a loser attached to them and then secondly i can just never imagine it going well idk y too easy to find psychopaths and the internet is involved which is usually bad lol

i have never tried them though a lot of what i hear makes them sound very discouraging to use. seems like it's how a lot of people meet nowadays but i'm still kind of resistant to the idea.

so like i subscribed out of curiosity to this tinder subreddit where people post picks of convos they have and that was enough to ruin the idea alone from what i ve seen it would be exactly what you think

I can see how they'd work for some people, but I don't think they ever could for me. For almost all the people I've fallen for, my feelings didn't develop until a super strong emotional connection was built first. With dating apps, you're going in with the implicit goal of finding someone, so I think it would wind up putting me on edge more than anything. Also, an in-person component is important for me, so a courting phase where both people are mostly texting/calling won't do! I come off as a much different person online than I do in person, so I'd want a potential partner to meet me as I really am and fall in love with that side of me.

i think dating apps are basically just a way to set yourself up for failure while i have never used one myself anyone i know who has it never worked out so i hear it does work out for some people but i think the odds would either be low or your chances at bare minimum would be no better than anythign else i mean i don t really believe in actively seeking a partner anyway so that s point number 1 like if i meet someone and we hit it off i guess that s cool but like going or doing something with the specific intention of meeting someone romantically is a concept that never appeale to be it doesn t feel real or natural somehow and i think dating apps fall into that category
