have not kept up with it. for a long time. the fandom scares me, although i know there are plenty of good people in it.

is it confirmed that it's the same universe or is it an entirely different one? because if it's just another universe, that would at least justify erasing whatever twilight did

It's confirmed to be future Equestria, but wayyy past FIM. To be fair, the new movie seems unabashedly kiddy, so maybe the bronies will turn on it and it's finally okay to not appeal to dudebro collectors again.
