The datamine of the new OTR update reveal that Spyro (and his skin Dark Spyro) is a playable character!

That's one hell of a nose, haha. May be based on a new character model for the 4th game? Spyro's snout has been larger recently. @SpyroUniverse on Twitter pointed out that the horns are curved in multiple instances recently, too.

Maybe Spyro will be released in a future update for 'Crash On The Run' alongside the announcement of Spyro 4. Also, welovethis.store may release their Spyro merch alongside the announcement and Crash update. If that is the case, the announcement of Spyro 4 should be quite soon.

ngl i love the design! i'm super easy to please when it comes to spyro things, though. very exciting!!

Yeah, that is true actually. The Spyro update for Crash could still indicate an announcement of Spyro 4, with it to happen at the same time. Just like how the Crash Warped Spyro demo cheat code worked in NSane Trilogy on the day of Reignited's announcement (I'm clinging on to any hope for Spyro 4,lol)

I find his design just alright. The twitter comments are overeacting big time - it's a bit like N.Sane Crash, gets the job done, could be better but doesn't really break from the character or anything. He's even got eyes closer to pink while in Reignited they were very dark, that's intersting.

The name of the file that contained the image of Spyro alone has the word "boss" in it, wich mean that Spyro is probably a boss, but I still think he would fit in better as a playable character.

Maybe you have to defeat him first to unlock as a character, it could be kind of a homage to the Fusion games for the GBA.

hmm interesting that dark spyro is present alongside normal spyro.

maybe spyro will show up as him first. you have to battle dark spyro, then he turns back to normal and you can play as him?

i wonder if he'll be a separate entity like in skylanders, or if he'll just be angry spyro like in tlos

They should make a fake Spyro, and call him Goonro.
