Twitter and Reddit users have discovered a piece of concept art for Crash 4 that has a reference to Spyro. Spyro's face can be seen with his logo and a number "4" underneath him. The text also says "and a little hint at Spyro". I'm sure most Spyro fans now know of this but I thought I'd post it here just in case some people are unaware.

Some people are speculating that an announcement is coming at The Game Awards tomorrow night. I personally do not think so due to the lack of egg (lol), but the lack of gift could be due to COVID. I'm expecting a Q1/Q2 2021 announcement.

It's nice to finally be getting some form of hint towards a new Spyro game after all this time.
What are your thoughts?

Game awards is unlikely but the possibility is still there, if not it’s next year, but no matter what I will watch them for the announcements even if there are no Spyro games there.

I don't think we'll get an announcement at Game Awards, only because Crash has just come out.

Im honestly thinking both games were likely worked on at the same/similar times. Im guessing we'll have a new game announced early next year, definitely not at Game Awards

Well, I'm hoping it gets released on PC, at least down the line, or PS4 (unlikely I know), as I have no interest in next-gen consoles but NEED to play Spyro 4! Honestly, I was not a big fan of reignited but I'm still intrested to see what a Spyro 4 would be like because... it's Spyro! Will forever miss Gregg Berger as Hunter tho

True, True. Love ETD despite... well... everything, seems Activision really wants to start anew with these franchises. We'll see how long it'll last this time I guess. Just glad we'll always have the past titles to return to if it starts to turn sour. Would love to see a new Skylanders game release alongside Spyro and Crash as well. One year Crash, then Spyro, then Skylanders. I can dream!

you can't pretend it didn't happen though good or bad they made it and put it out and etd is not why the series didn't recover the endless spasms of not knowing what they wanted to do with the damn thing and then giving up altogether idk the idea of just ignoring everything in some phony attempt to appeal to original trilogy diehard fans (goes for you too crash) is like... eeeeeh

How is it anymore "sloppy" than the state that both franchises were in before even Activision acquired them?
And you're not made, sure, but that wasn't what I mean by asking for you to chill. You seem to care too much about a meaningless number and are being stubborn about it for seemingly arbitrary reasons.

I'm hoping that Cinder gets introduced in a new Spyro game at some point, at least.

...has nothing to do with the number itself has to do with the concept of ret conning the games or "multiversingjekejtkk ifying" them period

i think you re confused let me try this again... i said... it is just as sloppy as it has been referring to spyro and crash over the last 20 years it will still be a mess just a different mess the number part was in reply to you saying i m fixated on the number and wow the stock just play the old 1 if it matters so much lol look thr point i m making is in crash s case at least since uh... spyro don't exist yet... would ve been better to just wing it why ret con and if you re gonna ret con why cop out and multiverse hm seems like the usual messy messy

not really multiverse to me is like if you didn't start off like that it exists now as your fail safe to get out if writing hole you already created and you wanted the quickest easiest way out and exactly they copped out

um they now own the franchise lol if they want to pretend they can do better the point is opposite moot aaaaand I could do better and it would take me like 5 minutes because to me ret con plus multiverse is automatically low grade
