Oh my god I'm having an epiphany. For the longest time, I've assumed that the term "ROFL" was just some weird onomatopoeia for laughing, so imagine my surprise when I discovered that it's actually an acronym for "Rolling on Floor Laughing".

how serious is the "site suggestions" part of the forum?

i'd like to suggest that the site be made more mobile-friendly, but i don't really have anything i can contribute other than that. i also don't really have an understanding about how complex of a task that might be.

i just don't want to end up posting something there that will be a waste of time.

I’ve decided that for my christmas present this year im gonna dye my hair bright red with yellow and orange streaks

Nearly all games I’m interested in aside for maybe Melody of Memory are delayed or don’t have a release date, I need to search directly on the websites of my local book stores as ordered books take way longer to arrive, movies I wanted to see are also delayed so Christmas will be peculiar and I will need to look harder than usual, but don’t worry, I won’t let covid ruin the Christmas magic, I will find some cool stuff.

May need some help to find interesting stuff as it will be a lot harder.

Once this election is a done deal I'm going to do my annual blast Christmas music in early November tradition

In my case, that year is so uneventful(in a positive sense) that I’m already planning ahead what I’m getting for Christmas and wanting to decorate the house early...but songs...nah too depressing in a year with no party possible, I also decided the right condition when I will be ready to buy a PS5.

is it weird that the only things i really like about tlos are:
the music
the character designs, some level aesthetics (strictly anb and ten)
end of list

I only like a few select tracks
The level designs are pretty good honestly I love the concept art in ten

oh yeah there's only a few songs i like too, others are average.
the concept art is very nice in ten!

anb is probably my favorite of the trilogy. i remember when i was younger, i had a save right at convexity and i'd save over another slot then fight cynder, then load the other slot and save a new slot so i could keep fighting her. it was my favorite part. ten has the celestial caves which is super pretty (though the elemental challenges are annoying and difficult) but i don't like the elemental attack changes. i mean there's some i like, but i don't like the volt orb. i miss spitting straight up lightning out of my mouth. i did like the ice tail though, it helped me in the pirate level right before the first phase of the boss. oh yeah, i hate the pirate level. it's like half the game and i remember even as a kid i hated it. gave up for a while even.

i haven't heard about cyril being a prince, that's neat. he acts pompous enough for sure, though if i remember right in the game he implies he's like that because ice dragons see themselves as superior. i've heard that in the beginning of ten, what was supposed to push cynder out is cyril and i think? terrador? not trusting her. iirc ignitus trusted her, terrador might've been on ignitus' side but cyril was like "that terror child needs to leave".

i feel like i would've liked tlos better if it DIDN'T include spyro, yeah. if it was still a dragon game, which would be RAD because dragons are cool, it would've done fine. i feel like they slapped spyro's name there because he was the familiar video game dragon mascot.

however i hate this because we have a divided fanbase. people can have a preference, i do, but people can be outright nasty about it. full on fights and everything. i don't like tlos, mostly the story/plot but i don't go up to my friend (whose favorite is dotd oof) and go "TLOS STINKY!!!!11 YOU'RE STINKY FOR LIKING IT!!! BAD TASTE!!1" we can have different opinions that's fine.

this part is my opinion and no one has to agree with me but:
i hate it when people say classic is "real spyro" then include tlos spyro as "real spyro" but not skylanders. an example would be one of the multi-animator projects done in honor of spyro's 20th anniversary, castle on the hill. blazethefiredragon hates skylanders and refuses to acknowledge it, but added tlos in? tlos and classic aren't even in the same universe, i don't know. you don't have to like all versions of spyro, but they're still spyro. if it wasn't for skylanders, tfb probably wouldn't have made reignited. skylanders is part of spyro's history now. even if it's not a game series that casts him as the main role. and at least skylander spyro's personality is close to classic/reignited.

i don't know. i just don't want any of them to be excluded. i'd be saying the same thing if it was reversed and tlos was the one often left out, tbh. it's not my favorite by any means, but it deserves to be there.

i do like when people look at it with a loz approach where it's all spyro just reincarnations or however it does in loz (i've only played 2 games i'm not familair with lore sorry)

but that's my opinonion on that.

yeah it's really petty. people can dislike games, it happens. but they don't have to be like "well i hate this game so it never happened"

crash 4 isn't bad it's just a split in the timeline, the other games are still canon. people are allowed to dislike it, but they don't have to be rude about it or exclude it either.

yeah, you have a good point.

i think there's an argument for both sides of the skylanders is/isn't spyro. personally, i consider it to be a spyro game because the first game was advertised with him as a main selling point, and is the whole reason i played skylanders. for people who played skylanders because they were interested in the toys to life concept, i think it makes sense for them to see it as something outside spyro. what you're saying seems to synthesize both, which is a good take i haven't seen much elsewhere.

it does bring up the question of imaginators, where spyro takes the role of an npc. would we consider that a spyro game or a skylanders game? i don't think we have to make a distinction between the two; like i said, i lean towards the side that skylanders is spyro.
