I'd really like to learn how to! I keep getting sidetracked with other things. Maybe I'll finally crack open some books or watch YouTube videos and learn this year.

Gonna revisit some concept art and anatomy books today. Hopefully draft more for my fic, too. Just need to give my hand a break from drawing for the moment. I've been staying up late pushing myself to pump out art, as much art as possible, and it's probably not healthy...

Sometimes, I wish darkSpyro was more active. Mostly for the roleplay. I use roleplay to improve my writing skills, but how can I brush up on them if there are no roleplays being held?

I just finished rewatching the Kanto seasons of Pokémon and oof. What a good show that teaches many valuable lessons to kids. Now, to watch the orange islands to whatever Galar is called. Heard it's pretty train-wrecky. I remember loving Hoenn and Sinnoh, so now, as a teen with changed morals and values, it'll be interesting to see how different the show is. (Kanto changed a ton since I watched it when...before I was even one, after all-.)

Me too. I have so many good memories about roleplaying on this site. At that point in time, I was RPing, actively writing two fanfics, and writing an original story! But my life's gotten so busy that I don't have time to write and keep up with RPs anymore. :c

I remember liking the character Stephan because no one knew how to pronounce his name in the Unovan arcs... It is my full intent to go through every single season, even if it means I'll never pick up the DVD again, lol.

the only fun season of the pokemon anime is the first one because it has old anime charm to it and was particularly stupid or had bonkers moments, stuff that would be more "violent" or otherwise questionable than anything later and didn't fit but was hilarious and makes it entertaining, and there was "savage" dialogue (characters trying to make actual jabs) more often

johto still had these traits more often than anything that followed so it gets a pass too, although it had more dull stuff than kanto

I agree! The first season of Kanto and The Orange Islands have the older anime charm, and they both have various funny moments. The dialogue is pretty decent, the voice actors get more lively during the Orange Islands, and...sadly, 4kids kind of sucks at translating. They called CURRY "Chili". Aside from that, it is a pretty solid series during this arc.

I don't remember much from Johto to be frank, but I'll keep that in mind.

The Advanced series was my favorite series as a child, and I believe I'll still keep that bias. (Hoenn was my first Pokémon game generation, so it holds a special place in my heart.) It also introduced the concept of Pokémon contests, so that was pretty neat when I was younger. I intend to watch Advanced through new eyes, but I'll likely keep the bias, lol.

I found that the Black and White anime's dialogue was kind of dull. It felt as if the voice actors were kind of just...done. So I stopped watching around then. Maybe I'll find that feeling in Hoenn or Sinnoh now that I'm older.

Ahhh, this is highkey relatable. I used to roleplays all the time here; now I'm too busy with life, I barely have time to write or draw without staying up past my bedtime:"3 I hope that you'll manage to find the time to do the things you love again!

ackbar is a meme. if he were to sacrifice himself its just fanservice for the sack of fanservice. purple hair lady was introduced as a red herring to be someone that is untrustworthy and was made to groom poe into becoming a general. plus a character named ackbar suicide bombing is quite on the nose

yeah just got off the phone with my doctor a little while ago and said if i keep getting these hot flashes not to wait until my appointment tomorrow and just go to the emergency room not feeling that great right now trying to make it funny lol :'-)

i know there are definitely still random topics. i don't frequent the discord and quite a few more of the frequent users on S&N don't spend much time there either. you raise a good point though.

I don't think anything on the discord reflects thread titles, no. BlueFox and other people sometimes get reminded of cool shows or animals because it got brought up, but that's about it.

Ah, interesting! Didn't mean for that to come off bitter or anything- I don't frequent the Discord at all, so I was curious. ^.^
