Anyone else have issues reading for fun when they're busy? I've been putting off starting books; feeling either I should be studying, or that I'll be too preoccupied in the near future. Dunno why it's such an issue for me, since studying doesn't wipe out my drive to do other stuff.

i read for fun a lot, i could read for hours and hours on end.

but i don't, especially on days where i have work, school or both. its like you said, i feel like my time could be used in better ways. that being said, i am beginning to learn that work and school shouldn't stop me from doing something that i like to do. especially if it relieves me of stress.

If you're too bored by books for studying, try to make a schedule to make yourself read something fun and maybe quick on a specific day of the week. Doesn't matter if it's a cheesy fantasy or romance, just something to keep yourself LIKING to read.

I had this problem on uni because I had to read egotistical after egotistical aesthetic essay and I just didn't want to glance at words on paper anymore, took a LONG time to get back to my usual reading speed.

faaaack yeah this speaks to me. this is why I haven't read properly in around six months, because I just feel guilty of wasting time. It sucks because I love reading, but eh, what does reading a book get me in the long run? I should be using that time to work because at least that'll get me somewhere ..

I feel so weird about books like I think about how I used to love reading them all the time but I couldn't imagine doing that now?? Like I honestly have trouble reading a whole book.

I keep doing the same.
I have a massive backlogs of classics I'm very interested in, but then when the opportunity comes, I usually end up doing something else or reading a comic.

I'm getting the feeling it might not get one, at least not for a very long time when some re-release comes along for multiple seasons at once. Wondered the same at first when season 1 had one but 2 didn't. Then I realized that seasons 2 & 3 have twice as many episodes as season 1 each so each half-box set still is the same amount of content as the S1 complete box set.

Still annoying as other animes will do a 25-episode box set no problem. :/

AX prices are increasing but the lines and overall quality only get worse. But people go out of habit and indie developer panels so it gets to keep dragging itself along.

Anime Expo has a long tale of poor management. Workers/Volunteers aren’t briefed enough on general information, lines are insanely long to the point 3 people passed out due to heat fatigue while in line, which were about 5 if not more hours long. The convention center is completely over capacity to the point its both a fire hazard and a safety hazard. This year Day 1 people werent able to make it into the convention due to the lines, and when they slightly fixed it on Day 2, Day 1 people were not reembersed. They refuse to cap ticket numbers in order to reduce the amount of people and overcrowding, and buying tickets/badges online means nothing as you still need to wait in the line to get in.

My guess is that Force Awakens will be considered one of the best within the next few years. People hated Empire Strikes Back when it came out and now it's considered the best Star Wars film.

And speaking of that, since I've had some time to think about it, and since I recently rewatched The Empire Strikes Back, I think Force Awakens is my new favorite in the Star Wars series. There's a lot from Empire that I found doesn't really hold up well over time, whereas Force Awakens is without a doubt the Star Wars movie I've enjoyed the most.

And speaking of THAT... (I know everyone knows about this twist from Empire but I'll spoil it anyways)

I think the whole "I am your father" revelation from Empire is kind of underwhelming. When you really think about it, there's not really any reason that Obi Wan or Yoda didn't tell Luke that Darth Vader was his father and Leia was his sister. heck, it probably would've made him MORE prepared if someone told this to Luke ahead of time because he would've fought Vader with this knowledge already and wouldn't have been defeated by him just from the shock of this revelation alone.

me: im gonna play tale of two towns again!~ marrying that witch lady was such a fun challenge, i wonder who the "special" bachelor is?

Tale of Two Towns:

Dirk doesn't have any flower events that you'll need to trigger if you want to marry him. Instead, he has a lot of extra marriage requirements you must complete. You will need to finish the basic marriage requirements of a house upgrade and be in year 2 or later. Because Dirk is a special bachelor he has the normal white friendship flowers, and you need to have them at the full-bloom friendship flower level (60,000 FP or more). You will also need to:

Complete the tunnel between the towns
Go on at least 50 dates with him
Give at least 80 gifts
Give his favorite gift, Cream Croquette, at least once
The game does not keep track of your dates with the bachelors, so if you want to marry him, you need to manually count the number of dates the two of you go on. Once you've completed all of the requirements, you can give Dirk the blue feather to propose marriage. Dirk does not have a reverse proposal.
