People talk about getting help for mental health issues every time something like this happens and they talk about it like its easy and that 'they just have to stick with it'. There is so much that is hard about it, and a lot of people 'dont stick with it' for reasons that people never consider. There is so much bias and it is so hard to get help and work towards getting better and honestly I hate seeing everyone preaching about it like its something easy for everyone. It feels like somehow they are jabbing at me for 'giving up' when I have had no choice. I dont want to live like this, both as a suicidal thought and as a thought on how I dont want to be depressed and anxious and suicidal anymore. But there is no way for me to get the help they are preaching about. They take the time to talk openly about it only now and then it goes back to being this thing tainted with bias that no one is allowed to talk about. It all just feels fake and like people feel they are obligated to say something profound just because this happened.

I'm glad to be losing people I cared about, and finally beginning to open up to others more. I'm finally comfortable with being vulnerable and objectively opposed to losing those in my life. These people are providing knowledge for me to use in future situations so I can avoid the past from repeating itself.

Not talking to anyone and feeling exiled is starting to take its toll

I don't know why but at some point I feel like there will be a time when I have a life. It will sad because I might not be able to talk to people from here for awhile. If that's what it takes to be successful in life and be able to help some people from here in the long run I will take that chance. I just need to stay locked in and be humble.

there is something about this thread that i just, really appreciate yknow. it's a place to just shout into the void, release anything that's been pent up for a little bit too long. but it's not too secluded either. people still sometimes browse through these parts to silently but surely reassure everyone. sometimes they'll even step in to make sure things work out. it's just....nice.

honestly, it can be said about the whole site. it's why i think people come back. it's just a place where you can go when things are just a bit too much. it never really changes too much and the community (while it definitely has it's toxic aspects) is the kind where you can just sorta fit in and find your place no matter who you are. a lot of people around these parts are going through some pretty serious **** a lot of the time, a lot could be considered weird or rejects or the like, others just have problems and insecurities they don't wanna deal with 24/7. so sometimes its nice to lean back on this topic, this site, this community to just reassure that things aren't always as hard, because they weren't before. or hell, maybe they even were before, but we got through it then so why can't we get through it now..

why do you think this topic has almost 1000 pages, that the majority of the users on this site are yellow sparx and up, that quite a few users are still primarily using an outdated relic program like skype for offsite communication, that in the age of reddit and discord chats most people here would choose to use an aging forum from the mid-2000s, or that the off-topic boards have more activity than the majority of the games boards ever will. it's the community, it's that reassurance, it's that feeling that this place is, for better or for worse, a home.

i just wanna show everyone my cat and then disappear again lollll
over a year ago my childhood cat passed away in probably the worst way possible and i dont think ive ever felt more devastated in my life. a few weeks ago i finally felt ready to get a cat so i left and showed up with a cat from a shelter without asking anybody lol. her name was noodle and she was a sweetheart. but we took her to the vet for a checkup and they gave her a vaccine that she had a reaction to. so a couple days later i found her passed away and it felt like losing malinko all over again. the shelter was really nice about it and they let me get another cat for free. this little fluffy bunny cat looked at me and i picked her up and she wouldnt let me go. so i took home vanna. i never thought getting another kitty would make me so happy. she is a little monster and a brat but i love her so much so i wanna show off vanna. she loves snuggles and sleeping on ur chest and shoving her nose in your face. she also doesnt have a tail so she literally looks like a bunny with a cat head hahaha

I would’ve much preferred people coming out and telling me they didn’t like me then lying behind a facade of we tried talking to you and everyone cares. Most people never actually talked to me, or gave up when I didn’t immediately give them the answer they liked. But you win. You all win.

i like to role play, i just wish i wasnt so critical of role-plays.

like i used to love to role play on magistream but their rp section is either undertale or dragons. while i love dragons, role playing as them gets a little stale.
