i dont think so at all! Smash was my first introduction to every single series in the games with the exceptions of Pokemon, Kirby, and Persona
even Fire Emblem and Metal Gear, which i attribute as two of my favorite series of all time, were introduced to me through Smash.

i just prefer persona because of the social sim/VN aspect
it allows me to connect to the characters on a deeper level than in the mainline SMT games

plus i think the overall aesthetics of persona 3 and 5 are really rad and i dont get that out of SMT

tbh I've never played a purse owner game but I've sunk a lot of time into the traditional style megaten games.

I had a decent bit of prior knowledge, sure, but I had a lot of fun playing Nocturne on hard mode. It feels like a game that really wants to mess with you, and you just have to overcome its quirks.

on the topic of difficulty, i dont find "hard" games (i.e. Dark Souls, Cuphead, Sekiro) fun, nor do i find super hard difficulties (Fire Emblem Awakening's Classic Lunatic and certain Mario Maker maps come to mind) fun

despite really loving gaming, im pretty bad at pretty much everything, and despite actively getting better at most games today, i just dont find the extreme challenge appealing
i understand the "lmao git gud" mentality (as much as i hate it), but doing the same boss fights or same levels over and over until i finally beat it isnt really rewarding for me, if anything it just makes it more frustrating because i think "oh great, i have to do all of this crap over again with a totally different boss"
i also understand how people feel rewarded for beating something really difficult, but i dont feel the same way. my frustration and what feels like wasted time isnt worth it, so those kinds of games just arent for me. i personally get more reward from the funny things that happen that i can clip or whatever and completing a really good story

im not trying to say harder difficulties and games arent valid, and if you like them, more power to you! whatever you play and whatever your difficulty, its all good, that level of difficulty just isnt for me

Simple vidya gayme philosophy: In the end, games are meant to be fun. Even if they were made with an artistic purpose, the interactivity within the game implies that it's meant to be enjoyed by its consumer. If you're not having fun, then don't play it.

Even in a game you legit do find enjoyable but you're having a frustrating time with it. If you're starting to get mad or stressed out, take a break, and revisit it when you're done. I love Persona 5, but one battle ended up making me lose my **** because I had no more SP restore items, and I was far away from the nearest checkpoint. I was a sobbing mess, so I took a break, revisited, and had fun again.

i get why people like really hard games but i play games to not be stressed out so if theres a stupid baby mode you bet your ass its all ill play

i often find myself in situations where i hear people tell me a game or show is super good and i should play/watch it, so i do, and it doesn't really click

like i never seem to find out what makes this thing so good or the thing that made x person like it and i honestly feel bad when i say "i tried thing and it wasn't my style"

on the other hand, when i DO find something i can genuinely get into, i go to see what other people think about it and discover thing i like is generally disliked

i am somehow unable to like the things that are supposed to be liked and instead like the things you're not supposed to like

so i find it easy to direct this feeling of "why do i just not get it" and "why do the things i like have to be the bad ones" into bandwagons of disliking the things people say is supposed to be disliked because it's what i'm supposed to dislike and it will hopefully prevent me from further polarizing my taste

What little we do know is:
It's going to be 50+ episodes.
It's being written by the same people who wrote the Sonic Boom cartoon. (This isn't a bad thing, mind you)
This one is only a rumor, but supposedly Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon turned it down for being "too dark", whatever that means. (I'm assuming something to do with Clockwerk? If the rumor is true, of course )

that show has some excellent moments from what ive seen

I saw that the show is gonna be distributed by PGS Entertainment, which did this. Maybe this can give some clue about it, even if minimal.
