Link to the Past is the weird one here. Would it be a remake like Link's Awakening? Would it be just a port? All answers would be strange for a reason or another. I wanna see how this turns out.

I also really wish Prime Trilogy would be full remakes using whatever engine Prime 4 is/was set to use, but not sure about that, I'm just expecting a port. If it happens, obviously. I know rumors are very strong but I like to hold my breath until it's actually confirmed.

Would they even classify as rumors considering Best Buy was the one that leaked them?

Also if Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch comes with traditional fps controls instead of the original tank controls I can die a very very happy man pls I need this on a potential Switch port

I just want tank controls to be optional. I really wanna use the left stick to look around. One of the only reasons I haven't finished the first Prime(despite loving it so much) is because it's so clunky to look around and shoot. The visors(?I think that's what the c stick on gamecube was mapped to) could always be on the left shoulder button now since the gamecube controller didn't have two shoulder buttons.

I'm talking about the front ones. You know how there's the Z button in front of the right analog shoulder button but there's not another front shoulder button on the left side?

So on the Switch, ZR can be shoot, ZL locks on, R brings the map, and the L button now does whatever the c stick originally did.

And yeah, I'm perfectly fine with the rest of the controls(although having more flexible options for controls in general for Prime would be nice anyways).

It's a shame they can't perfectly emulate the Wii version's controls, even if they do an amazing job I feel like the first compilation will still win regarding precision. But well the Prime games (at least the first two) were never about precise shooting so it might not even be that bad. I wanna see how they handle 3 though.

Don't the Joy-Cons have better motion controls? It's not that hard to adjust them either way.

I'm more talking about the aiming cursor the Wii Remote had, which is absent from the Joy-Cons as far as I know. I know the Switch has its solutions like gyro controls, but most of the gaming community seems to agree the Wii had the best shooting controls of any home console, from what I hear, and that was because of the aiming cursor it had.
