I don't mean on looks, I meant on how the attacks feel. The double sided counter is the most unique feeling one, but the rest kinda feel like replacing the sword with dragon parts. Though I guess since Zelda and Samus had their transformations split, that's not a gimmick that can be used anymore for a reason or another.

Yep! Most of Piranha Plant's moves are superb, actually. His specials either have incredible range, do a ton of damage, or have some good knockback, and his aerial game is super strong. I'll be surprised if he isn't pretty high tier.

I don't know, I feel like Corrin, Robin and Ike are unique enough to be worthy additions. They are all about swords but VERY different takes on the idea, however I have no knowledge in FE so I can't say how much potential they had from their games. I won't repeat what Vespi said about Robin because those are my thoughts, but Corrin takes a more range-based take on swordsman, focused on taking enemies from afar. He even has the stun projectile because he's not supposed to be too close to his opponent. Ike however is the only T H I C C T A N K sword user in the game (maybe except Link but the focus is not on his T H I C C). Of all of those Ike is my personal favorite to play with (I even consider him a secondary), and one of the few bulky ones I can properly play as since his attacks take a lot of space to make up for his lacking speed.

About the transformed part, maybe Corrin isn't supposed to go full-on dragon during most of the time? It seems like something "special" for him to switch all the time like Pokémon Trainer does. Maybe that's why they kept it for his Final Smash. Again, pretty green on Fire Emblem, so I would be the last one to know any of this.

I do kind of agree that Corrin does less with the transforming dragon idea than she could or should. I think the worst idea was limiting her full dragon form to just a counter. Why not just remove the counter aspect of the move and let us do the attack at will (while balancing the damage so it's not OP)? Would be much more satisfying.

It's kind of just a secondary attack option, but it's also portrayed as something they can only do. So it's definitely a special thing story wise, but in game, they can do it all the time.

OKAY SO I was bored as hell and came up with this long, drawn out wall of text for what I think could be in Joker's update, and how it would represent P5 and the other games in the series (specifically P3 and P4 because that's all Atlus cares about lol)

Joker Moveset:
I’m not the most technical of people, so I won’t be breaking down his moveset in depth, but there are a few theories I subscribe to in regard to his abilities:
-Likely has a crouch walk
-Specials are Personas, but I feel like 2 of these will be Arsene, one will be Jack Frost, and the other will be another Persona. I think it’s equally likely that all the specials will be Arsene. It’s unlikely, but Joker could also use the Personas of other Phantom Thieves, so likely Arsene, Captain Kidd, Carmen, and either Zorro or Goemon. If they go the route of Joker representing the series as a whole, I could also see him using the Personas of the other protags, so Arsene, Izanagi, Orpheus, and probably Thanatos.
-I don’t think Joker will use his gun. While other characters have realistic weapons and guns, most of them shoot lasers/explosions, and half of Bayonetta’s are on her feet. I suppose Joker could get by with the same argument in the games in that “the Metaverse enemies think its real so it acts real”
-The majority of his melee attacks will be with his dagger, but he will have some punches and kicks for combos
-Good ground game, only decent recovery
-Final attack is All-Out attack, where 3 other Phantom Thieves (I’d like if it was 3 random ones, but it will probably be Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana) help finish the enemy off

Joker Colors/Costumes:
Assuming the ponytail datamine/P5R girl thing means a female Joker (or protag in general), 4 of these will be female skins. Despite that I feel he deserves it, I’m excluding Morgana as a color option since he has largely similar colors to Joker’s base design (i.e. black and white), and Makoto’s because it’s a lot of more dark colors, with the other girls’ costumes giving more color variety.

Color 1: Base Joker design
Color 2: Base FeMC design
Color 3: Male, Ryuji colors (Black costume, silver mask, yellow highlights, blonde hair)
Color 4: Female, Ann colors (Red costume, red mask, dark red highlights, blonde hair)

I feel like Joker’s stage will be based on Persona 5 specifically, since there aren’t many shared locations between Persona games. I’ve ordered what I think the most likely stages are from most to least likely. Also I didn’t know where to put it, but I think the series logo for Joker will definitely be the Phantom Thieves logo.

-Mementoes (riding on the top of the Morgana bus, which makes stops at different levels. If the Final Smash is All Out Attack and triggered here, Yusuke replaces Morgana.)
-Metaverse (Morgana bus travels to various Palaces, from Kamoshida’s Palace all the way to the Casino)


Music:
Sega, between Sonic and Bayonetta, has been incredibly generous with their music in the series thus far, and I don’t think Joker’s stage will be any exception. Of all of the DLC fighters, I predict Joker will probably have the most songs, similar to how Castlevania had so many.
