Angora slept almost immediately, leaving Shade alone in that while, though chances were he was going to sleep too. The ham was almost the size of his own head, which was probably enough to fill him. She was stuffed herself, and eating too fast made her very sleepy. It was a pleasant meal, Shade was with her and Maverick was fine and happy now. Despite the other life trial that awaited them, they were still a family. Even if nobody else wanted to recognize their value, she knew it didn't matter. Orion himself has seen their value, and even a complete stranger, which while it was true that he took her precious orb away, he still looked forward to meet her again. For now, all that mattered was the present, and this nap was going to help her recover some of the energy she lost taking care of Shade. She wanted to be ready for the king tomorrow.

Angora's slumber was nice and dreamless... for a moment. When she opened her eyes again, she was in a clear field. It was beautiful, but a closer look at the distance, there was... a wasteland? It was too far to appreciate it. The peace of the place was soon shattered by the rumbling of the ground, a shaking so intense, it almost made her bounce off the ground. When she noticed at the distance... a giant behemoth. And it wasn't just any behemoth. It was the same one that transported her to the Redwater prison. The one she faced in the arena.
"Welcome back to Redwater... appetizer. I'm so glad to see you back. You heard the old man. Aelinon doesn't take kind to second offenses, and knowing you, you'll make a mistake sooner or later. I can hardly wait. Don't disappoint me. See you soon..." the behemoth said with a smile full of malice, turning around to leave, leaving the tiny troll paralyzed in that field...

Angora then opened her eyes, red with the shock and sudden awakening.
"Darn it. I just come back here and I'm already having nightmares about those stupid behemoths!" she exclaimed, more to herself than to a Shade, whom she didn't bother to find. She was still very sleepy, and trying to fill her mind with happy thoughts, she went to sleep again, wanting to be well rested...

Quote: A Guy
As suggested, Ilasi began to guide Maverick through the streets of Redwater; as she did so, she pointed out some of the more tourist-friendly places and interesting sights along the way. Oddly enough, there seemed to be a bit more of a commotion today than usual. Ilasi didn't particularly think much about it - but it would turn out that she didn't need to.
"Breaking news! Duke attacked by plants bursting out of the ground in the arena! Duke currently alive and well; suspects still at large!" Ilasi's heart skipped a beat - an attack on the duke? So far in Redwater territory?
No, she wasn't going to focus on that right now. She was going to enjoy the moment with Maverick - the deeper implications of the recent event, if any, were likely far beyond her concern.

Maverick heard the announcement, and didn't wanted to say anything, not wanting to ruin him and Ilasi's time together. But the tension was quite intense.
"Sounds serious..." was all that he managed to say, doing it in a low voice in hopes that she didn't hear. Things in Redwater was always been intense. He was even afraid that the city would blame Shade again cause the attack happened the day he returned, but he didn't have plant magic, nor any magic at all right now, so that could work in their favor. Still, the attack didn't come as much as a surprise to him. The law was too strict and cruel, so Maverick did believe this was a nation with many enemies. Or it could be someone with a thirst for power. Who knew? Any scenario was possible.

While Latnok and his companions were bringing the fisherman back to the city in order to find an appropriate healer, there was someone observing silently... a galud, rendered invisible through his own magic, kept an eye on the group.
Laszur was himself going to investigate the area to get more details of what occurred there; the events were rather suspicious, especially as of late. He was happy to see, at least, that the Ardent Guardians were as willing as ever to help protect people; there seemed to be a bit more at play than just typical aggressive creatures. Perhaps a bit of a talk was in order; he would hold for now, however, so that the fisherman could receive the appropriate help in time.

As the trio of companions walked-- it wasn't long until Raclaw's telepathic senses told him that *someone* was following them. "Keep walking, but we are not alone. Someone is watching us and possibly has been for some time.," he warned Latnok via telepathy so as to maintain the illlusion that they hadn't noticed. They had to make it to the city in time for the fisherman's sake and couldn't afford any delays. Chester walked alongside the others and was seemingly unaware of the unseen presence.

Eventually, Ilasi and Maverick would reach a building, eloquently designed in a shape resembling that of a shark's upper jaw. Upon entry, one would see several stands around, filled from head to toe with mementos, and a tunnel (but no fish).
"All of the sealife is much lower down, where they have much more space to give them," Ilasi noted. "This is just the entrance. They try to sell you a lot of things here, but actual entry into the aquarium is free."
Near the tunnel, there was a merman security guard - armed with a spear and donned in light armor. "Good morning," the merman said. "I take it that you two will be seeing the sights today?"
"Yes, we will," Ilasi said. "Do you want to go in right now, or...?" she asked Maverick, trailing off.

With haste, the trio pressed forward, fisherman in tow. Though Latnok, through Raclaw, could feel some of the man's pain, he was much more indifferent to pain in general. They would soon reach the city limits, and were let in without any trouble. Rather thoughtfully, a hospital was nearby, exactly for people who were injured outside the city and needed immediate care.
Entering the hospital, Latnok removed the fisherman from Raclaw's back, presenting him to the receptionist - a man who was somewhat aged and serious-looking. "He was attacked by a giant recluse spider in the woods near the city," he informed the receptionist.
"Well, I don't quite think triage will be necessary," the man said. "Just lay him on the bench there - ah, I see you have the spider's head. May I please have a fang?"
Latnok broke the fang off and offered it to the man as asked. Now they just had to wait...

Huntress acted smoothly and without any fidgeting or stamerring. She was trained very well to know what to say in practically any situation.
"What do I know about you? Only that you are a talking fox. It's not exactly a common scenario, you know. And my apologies if I looked like I was staring. I know you must think I'm not very ladylike to be in a place like this. Can't say I'm a fan of the atmosphere, but this marketplace has so many nice things. Too many things here aren't sold anywhere else in Redwater. I know it's not exactly the law, but I can't resist the temptation." Huntress explained with the same sweet demeanor, rather glad that Dex stopped to talk to her. This was her chance to learn more about him and his friend.

Quote: A Guy
With the revelation, Ilasi stayed silent, not quite knowing how to handle the mood whiplash. In addition, she was conflicted - on one hand, she knew why Shade earned his sentence, but on the other hand, the prospect of him being separated in such a matter to become essentially a slave to Aelinon was very saddening, especially knowing the likely brutal treatment he would receive. Ilasi subconsciously stopped eating, though she didn't say anything further, feeling too awkward to join thr conversation.

The change in mood didn't stopped Angora from eating. She was done with her chocolate fudge, still staring at Shade so that he wouldn't have no doubt how upset she was with him. Maverick was also done with his apple, and couldn't wait to explore more.
"I'm leaving for a while longer Angorita, if you don't mind. I want to see what Redwater can offer, but also look at the repairs. I know Oscurito can't come, but maybe..." Maverick began to say, ready to invite Angora to see the sights with him and Ilasi, but the troll knew where he was going.
"Maybe later. Go ahead. I'm going to stay here for a while longer so that Shade won't be alone. Besides, I think that meal made me very sleepy." she said with a yawn, confirming it. Maverick understood and decided to let her be, waiting for Ilasi to finish. She looked rather flustered, but didn't say anything, leaving her be so that she could finish her cheesecake in peace.

Dex knew that the Huntress was not telling everything, but there was nothing he really could do about it. " I know you are not telling me everything. What you are telling me just can not be true. You need your connections even to know about this place, but it might be true that you dont know anything else about me. So i ask you do you know anything about The brotherhood of assassins and especially about somebody named Blue?" Dex asked starting to relax a bit. He thought that the best way to go about this was to make sure she was not with Blue. If she was not, she probably was just interested. There was many things she could be, but the most important was that he was not with his worst enemy.

Huntress was surprised this little fox would be so skeptical and doubtful about her actions, but she didn't believe it was because there was something wrong with her explanations. Perhaps this little creature was just incredibly cautious.
"Well, I do know this place from a few of my friends. I like to be in places where I can find many exotic things." she answered, before rep, ting to his other question.
"Brotherhood of assassins you say? Can't say I've heard of them, but with a title like that, they do sound like a dangerous bunch. I would've expected a more creative name for someone other than a color. Blue?" Huntress said, eager to learn more. This brotherhood and whoever this Blue character was sounded like they were the main reason why this fox was being so paranoid. Whoever this Blue character was sounded like someone that could pay well though, but she was growing very curious about Dex and her friends, so before deciding to do anything to them, Huntress chose to learn more about them first before making a decision.

"Let's go right now. No need to waste such precious time." Maverick replied with a grin, desperate to get started. He felt like he had wasted so much time already seeing the ocean from above, when the insides were far more beautiful. An aquarium would be an interesting experience, but he looked forward to exploring the deep waters with Ilasi like he did back on Alya's island.

Back on the ship, Angora was dozing off, not managing to sleep completely but at least resting well enough. The king would be arriving tomorrow, and she wanted to be prepared. Even if she made the request, she was certain that both Shade and Maverick would ask the same. Angora was most likely still famous after the fight in the arena, and it has become clear ever since the Orcford trial that Maverick was peaceful to a fault, so there was no need for the monarch or any of his guards to be so cautious around them or deny them their request. Despite Aelinon bringing her and her friends much misery, Angora didn't wish any harm upon anybody, though she wished she could teach her tormentors a few lessons. But she knew that would be a bad idea, so she wasn't going to do anything no matter how much she desired it.

As Latnok laid the fisherman down, the staff on hand immediately got to work on him. The receptionist started to discuss something with a healer as the two looked at the provided fang. Something could be heard about needed to get an advanced healer and another person soon joined into their discussion, just as the injured fisherman was dragged off to another room. The trio of companions, meanwhile, was left waiting alongside a couple townsfolk waiting on news concerning their loved ones. Some rows of chairs had been provided with ample space in-between for both Raclaw and Chester. "You did good out there, close call aside.," the fur dragon said looking down at the now collared Beagle. "Thanks.," Chester barked in a quiet tone not wanting to disturb anyone.

Angora was wide awake now, opening her eyes to see a cloudy sky, still daytime. It was most likely late afternoon. She felt well rested. She didn't like Redwater, but she couldn't stand being on the ship for much longer. She saw Shade lying down, though he had her back to her so she didn't know if he was asleep. She wanted to venture out in the city for a while, but she didn't want to do it alone. She would wait for Maverick before she would venture someplace.

But while she waited, she approached Shade, talking to him without caring if he was awake or not.
"Oh Shady, we're always in some kind of trouble, aren't we? Maverick may be right. There may be a time where creatures like us can finally have peace, but we're clearly not in that era, or even generation. That stranger from the mines... he approached me many times. Said he could help us have the happiness we desire. I don't believe him very much, but it's nice to know someone wishes for our happiness." Angora said, still leaving a secret that this stranger was the one responsible for the disappearance of her orb. It still confused her why this stranger took so much interest in her, but it felt nice to be noticed by someone other than the dragolet and Maverick, someone who never insulted you or sees you as ugly or a load. Raclaw and Ilasi had been nice to them too, but they had too many limitations.

Shade slowly lifted up his head. He nuzzled Angora. “I know it will get better for us. Like Maverick says things get worse before they get better.”

Angora chuckled, certain Maverick didn't say it exactly that way, but she wasn't going to debate.
"Well, first things first. Tomorrow the king will come and you'll have to be on your best behavior. Show him your progress." Angora suggested, wanting to be very sure he didn't messed up by being rebellious or stubborn. Even the tiniest spark could be taken the wrong way.
"Oh, and before I forget, I'll go with Maverick around the city to stretch the legs. Maybe have a drink or something. I need to get out of this ship even if it is for a few minutes. Maybe Ilasi can stay with you while we're away. Want something? Food? A drink too? Perhaps a toy?" she asked, feeling a little bad for wanting to get out when Shade had to be stuck on the ship for another day, but she really was tired of being there. She needed to get out, but wanted to compensate to Shade with a little present to take away the distress that was being a prisoner of that vessel.

Angora found it silly how a dragon or anybody could love something as simply and goofy as a top, but everybody with their style. She nodded at his request, climbing his neck to reach his head to look at the sunset, which would be in less than an hour

There she sat, making herself comfortable. Shade was warm despite still not having his powers.
"You know Shady, perhaps our presence won't be so bad here. In the arena, we, heh, kinda made history. I was perhaps the first troll that ever won the crowd enough to be forgiven. Not that I committed any crime, but it was still progress. And you were pardoned as well despite all the deaths you caused, which is stupid cause you weren't in control of your body back then. I suppose that if the king had a dog that he loved with all his might and got rabies and killed a few, he would be sacrificed for something the disease made him do? Or if the king himself got possessed by some malevolent spirit that makes him do some despicable things, would he be sacrificed for something that was the spirit's fault in the first place? I'm telling you, their laws are so messed up! All excuses to convict people easily to make them entertainers in the arena for the sadistic society's pleasures, just so that at the end, the mayority of them will be nothing but food for those disgusting behemoths." Angora expressed, still believing the Aelinonian law was too unfair and cruel. She was certain that most of the reason why they were so strict was to keep capturing outlaws and most likely innocents as well was to keep the behemoths happy and full so that they would remain on their side. No doubt they were the strongest weapons the military had. While it was true the king pardoned the both of them, she believed it was more out of the desire to improve his own image rather than a fondness for them.

Angora looked startled with the sudden green spark, but tried to remain calm when Shade assured her he had full control.
"You better. Even a sneeze could be taken the wrong way." Angora warned, not wanting any risks. Shade was already seen as a monster for what happened. Even a minor stupidity could be taken as a deadly action from his part. She had been patient and sometimes controlling of Shade, especially when he had his nightmares, but she doubted the king and his men would provide him with the same courtesy.

Angora shook her head.
"Well returning or not, you better keep them under control. You think their laws are alright? It nearly cost us OUR lives because YOU didn't have control last time, so you better keep that power to yourself! You heard Sere. They don't take second offenses very kindly! We could be thrown into that arena again, or worse, be immediately sacrificed to those damn beasts!" she reminded with some hostility, the nightmare from earlier affecting her as well as Sere's warning. It became clear to her after those days in Redwater prison that those deemed too useless or dangerous to society only had one purpose; be nourishment for those dastard behemoths. Even right now she couldn't imagine the thousands that were being mercilessly devoured by those monsters on a daily basis either because they failed to survive or win their freedom.

Well they are outlaws for sure, the problem is their main operations are outside Aelinons boarder and they are pretty carefull about their stuff inside the boarder....... Latnok was satisfied with leaving the task of taking care of the fisherman to those who knew better. "We've done all he can," he said. "We should move on." Despite the commanding tone, he chose to wait for Raclaw's own feelings on the matter before moving off.

Back at the aquarium, the tunnel was getting deeper and deeper, with little but the lights in sight - until suddenly, around a bend, shimmering water could be seen all around - as if there were no walls at all. Fish and other sealife of all kinds could be seen swimming around vibrantly, as the plentiful flora ever so slightly swayed with the water.
"There is actually a magical barrier around this place," Ilasi said, as the sealife moved around them. "We merfolk maintain it." The area was more vibrant than anything they had seen in their sea diving - but then again, it was made to be so, perhaps as a show of the wondrous things Aelinon could put together.

"Well Aelinon is clearly one with those kind of resources. It's nice of them to allow free entry to a place like this." Maverick commented, finding it pleasant though imagining it was because they were interested in the education, not to mention most of the money probably came from the arena anyway.

The pair remained on the aquarium, Maverick letting Ilasi gave him tours and him buying her whatever she wanted, whether it was food or souvenirs. It was as if time stood still in that place, which looked otherworldly. Maverick didn't know what time it was, nor he did care. He kinda wished Shade and Angora could be there with him, but he knew they were fine, giving each other company.

Quote:
”Well being a mystery to most is quite usefull in here dont you think? You could say I am a traveler, lets just keep it at that for now (Dex wanted to hint that there was more). Well they are outlaws for sure, the problem is their main operations are outside Aelinons boarder and they are pretty carefull about their stuff inside the boarder....... (Dex took a little Break) But in fact I might have pretty much different use for those archives. So I have an deal to offer. I have a rich customer and the job is pretty interesting one. So if you can help me with the information I will split the money in coming with you. So are you in to this kind of action and should I tell more, or has my judgement about you been totally wrong. ” Dex said taking drink which the bartender had brought for him, driking from it In away which was much more closer to human way then Anybody would expect from a Fox.

Huntress felt insulted with Dex's comment, but didn't change her demeanor. Instead, she kept herself alert and listened to his offer.
"The archives are nearly impossible to reach, but I can pull a few strings. However, I want to know you and your... rich client can be trusted. Before I do anything, I'd like a payment in advance. Can't bring food for the table if I'm fooled." Huntress demanded, knowing very well how to play her cards. The currency in Aelinon was the same. However, there was a very little change in their codes that let the people that handled it know where their customers came from or at least where they have been. It was a strategy helped soldiers and police forces know where their culprit came from whenever they were investigating crimes like frauds and scams.

"You're-- you're right.," Raclaw said with a slight nod as he/Chester prepared to move out alongside the beloved Guardian. He could still feel the fisherman's pain, but knew that there was nothing more they could do. As the trio of companions left the hospital, Raclaw silently ceased his efforts on managing the man's pain and trusting him in their hands. Chester still walked with a rather proud stance, rather pleased with his fancy new collar.

"You'd better..." Angora repeated, being very serious. She lied down, ready to see the sunset. Maverick seemed like he was having a good time with Ilasi, which was good for him. He deserved it. As she watched the sun hiding in the horizon along with Shade, she stopped with all the unpleasant Aelinonian and behemoth thought, concentrating on just watching the spectacle.

"Well Shady. It is night. Want to play a game or something while Maverick returns? Remember that I'll be going with him later to get you that toy. I won't be late. I want to be well rested when that bratty king comes here. You'd do well sleeping well too. We need to be wide awake and alert when he arrives." Angora suggested after the orange sky was replaced with a dark, starry one. Tomorrow was going to be... interesting to say the least. Angora wanted to make sure it didn't turn unpleasant. Shade would have to be very careful on how he behaved, but so did she. She knew too well that her words and intentions were too misinterpreted too many times, so she had to be extra cautious.

"You mean like the constellations? Or something made up? If it's that, I think it's better with clouds, but we can do that." Angora said, agreeing. There wasn't much else they could do on that ship, so they might as well use their time to invent activities. She really was sick and tired of being in that ship, but she didn't want to leave Shade alone just like that. Since when did she become a friend to anybody she always asked herself. Nobody took care of Shade the way she did, and it was no mystery now the dragolet intended to stay with her and Maverick no matter what happened, even willing to go as far as to ditch his own kind should he ever encountered them. She knew by now that Shade didn't intend to leave them anytime soon. It made her wonder what he would do if the king refused to let her and Maverick accompany them...

With the matter settled, the trio were on their way to return to the tavern, to receive their pay. With Latnok and Raclaw being particularly noticeable, they didn't have much trouble maneuvering through the streets, as pedestrians naturally stayed out of the way.
They had found the tavern they were looking for - several people were outside, enjoying the day. Latnok thought nothing of them as he maneuvered to the entrance - until he was accosted by one in particular. "You, Guardian. Let me speak with you," he said.
The galud in typical fashion, was wearing a face veil to protect his eyes from the daylight sun - his uniform, however, soon became apparent. A member of the silent Spear, from the subtle differences in his uniform. Latnok wasn't quite sure why such a person would want to speak to him - but then it hit him. He met this galud a while ago, at a trial. "Laszur, if i recall correctly?" Latnok asked. "How may I help you?"
"So I take it that you're Latnok, then," Laszur said. "Hard to identify you when you cover your head up in that helmet. Anyway, let's find a table," Laszur directed. "Your friends can come along." Latnok could see he was in for a bit of a talk - but he had no reason to decline right now, so he came along. The two found themselves a somewhat secluded table in one corner, which they reached with little difficulty besides a drunk patron possibly bumping into Raclaw.
As the two sat down, Latnok could feel that there was something important - the galud didn't seem inebriated at all, and he doubted that a member of the Silent Spear would drink while in uniform. "How can I help you?" he asked politely.
"This is concerning the job you took," Laszur said. "I am talking with you because I have been investigating certain happenings within Aelinon. As you probably know... giant spiders typically don't appear in those woods. How do you think they got there?"
Latnok didn't consider that initially - but realized that there was a point. A giant spider didn't just come from nowhere. Which had to mean...
"Someone brought it there somehow," he said. "For what, though? What do they have to gain from it attacking random civilians?"
"That is the real question," Laszur said. "However, we may have an answer... I have analyzed the corpse you left behind. There are traces of some very old magic there... I can't identify it too well, but it's of elvish origin. Not common magic, either. Whoever did this had access to some rather unique magic, and knew exactly what they were doing. The only ones we can currently think of who has both the motive to do such a thing and likely access to that magic are the Silvianestians."
"So this involves politics, then," Latnok said. "I can't help you there, that's not my business."
"We understand as much," Laszur said. "However, this is of potential interest to you and your organization on account of the possibility of more of this kind of thing happening. We had an attack on the duke today, through use of nature magic to control vines - we are investigating that, but it is probable that it came from the same source. This is very possibly an attempt by the Silvianestians to either showcase their power or sow discord. What this means for us is that we may be in a position where we are forced to retaliate. What this means for you is that such happenings may become more commonplace - which could strain your resources more. I do not know how to get into contact with your leader right now, but I trust you can do so directly or indirectly. Make sure to relay our possible concerns. That is all. Any questions for me?"
Latnok thought for a moment, but had none to immediately offer. He waited for Raclaw to potentially ask something before moving on.

Raclaw shook his head no-- indicating that he had no questions. Latnok and Leoquin had told him about the Silvianestians, an elven military force with a power almost equel to that of Aelinon itself. That was an impressive feat given the current status of Aelinon proper. Any questions he had ether an obvious answer or would only bring about more questions. One thing was certain though and that was that trouble was brewing ashore.

After a wonderful time in the aquarium, Maverick and Ilasi returned to the ship, with the former rather surprised that it was already nighttime. Maverick greeted his friends warmly. It was then that Angora made the request.
"Sure Angorita. We can go to the restaurant Ilasi and I went to earlier. There's an exibition there. Ilasi can take care of Oscurito... oh wait, you want to see the exhibition too, don't you? Well, I'm sure Oscurito can be alone for a little while, no?" Maverick asked, asking the dragolet permission to leave him. He didn't want Ilasi to take care of him if she didn't want to, and he trusted that after the blood moon, Shade wouldn't get out of control. Angora however, didn't like the idea of leaving him alone. She still didn't trust his powers, so she hoped Ilasi would say yes. This city was her world, a place she knew well. She probably had seen whatever exhibition Maverick was talking about, but even if she didn't she would have time to see it another day she hoped.

With the talk over, the trio of Latnok, Raclaw, and Chester eventually headed back to the tavern - where, after the appropriate arrangements, they received pay for the job done. With the head presented as proof, and Laszur's presence likely meaning that Aelinon would work to secure that area from future attacks, Latnok felt confident in the task being complete. The head, its purpose served, was Latnok's to keep - he would discard it, but perhaps...
Latnok, taking a knife out of his pack, delicately incised around the creature's fang, until it came loose. He wrapped this up in some cloth and stuffed it in his pack, then threw the head in there after further thought; Veris would probably want that.
After some further gallivanting, and with the sun setting, Latnok and Raclaw were initially heading back to the ship - until Latnok had a different idea. "Remember the Easy Eyrie?" he asked. "Want to check it out again?"

Though Ilasi didn't dislike Shade, she feared what would happen should he begin acting up without her having an answer. "I'm sorry," she said, "but I don't feel confident in keeping watch of Shade. I wouldn't really be able to do anything... I... how do I put this... I don't exactly feel safe attending to him by myself." Ilasi was somewhat unhappy with Angora wanting to push her to the side in order to have her own fun; though she knew that the exhibition would mean much more to Angora than herself, she still wanted to spend a little more time with Maverick.

Angora was downed with the answer. She really wanted to get out, but as long as Shade remained a prisoner, she would have to be too. Only she, and to a minor degree Maverick, could control him. Nothing had happened since the blood moon and Shade assured it never will, but Angora still wasn't so sure.
"Well then. There's no other choice. I'll have to stay here. Go ahead Maverick. You go and watch the exhibition with Ilasi. And... bring me a drink from there. Also a top. Shade wants one, you know, to entertain himself in lonely times like this." she said, with clear sadness in her voice.

Maverick couldn't take it. Angora was so devoted. Such a good friend. She was a free troll, yet she made it her task to keep an eye on Shade. But she had limited herself so much. She deserved the fun. It was then that Maverick had an idea, and at the same time, remembered something very important.
"Go Angorita. I think you've done more than enough good deeds for a lifetime. You deserve a time off. You and Ilasi can go together. Think of it as a girl's night." he said with one of his goofy smiles, handing her his hyperspace bag where all the money and anything useful was, but not before taking what looked like a small cannon. He then handed Angora the bag of oats as well.

"Alright. Have this flare cannon. It will sent a sparkling blue flame into the sky in case things go out of control. You should be able to see it if you sit by a window. Almost forgot I had it. And por favor feed Dahlia on your way out. Was so distracted I forgot." Maverick instructed, remaining by Shade's side and nodding at Ilasi, hoping she wasn't too disappointed. From the trio, he was the one she got along with the most, but perhaps this was the golden opportunity they needed for his beloved girls to bond at last. Ilasi had already spent much time with him. It was about time she got to know Angora better, and at the same time him have the chance to rekindle his friendship with Shade.

"Well, it's just a little precaution." Maverick assured, not wanting to make Shade feel bad for him seemingly not trusting him.

Angora was surprised Maverick had a flare cannon on him, and that it was only now that he remembered. That kind of cannon was often used by sailors and pirates to give away their position whenever they went overboard or got marooned on an island, though in case of the latter, they always tried to use it as less as possible since it could attract unwanted attention. As she placed the bag around her shoulder and the bag of oats around her waist, Angora wondered what was going through Ilasi's mind right now. She knew the mermaid still didn't like her very much thanks to those ungrateful, abusive Guardians badmouthing her, but perhaps Maverick was right and it was better to just show her how misled she was...

Angora shook her head slowly, seeing how nuzzling was Shade's main way of showing affection. It was much better than a lick though, where you ended up all drooled and disgusted.
"Alright, better give some food to that poor buffalo. While you're here, bring her to the ship Maverick. She has to learn not to be afraid of Shade." Angora instructed, bothered by the fact that the dirt buffalo still wasn't used to Shade's presence. She knew the animal would probably want to travel with Maverick given how unsuccessful he has been in releasing her, but if they ever wanted some peace, she had to learn to coexist with the dragolet, even if he was one of her main predators.

Latnok led the way to the Easy Eyrie - the streets still having many people moving back and forth, a noticeably larger proportion of those people being galuds, much more at home with less sunlight. The area having more tourists than most of Redwater, there were quite a few sightseers ogling the odd sight of the man in dragonhide armor and a flying dog pegasus creature with a regular dog.
They didn't get in the way, however - Latnok made sure of that by showing that he wasn't going to slow down. After some time, they reached their destination.
"Welcome, Guardian and company, to the Easy Eyrie!" the receptionist, a young woman, greeted. "How can we take care of you tonight?"
"Get me, the fur dragon, and the beagle a room together," Latnok said, as he removed his helmet. "I'll take a steak. Let me know what you guys want."

Angora wasn't hostile like she was before; though the two had reconciled, Ilasi still had a little uneasiness around her. There still seemed to be some sort of volatility with the troll; Ilasi still felt the need to walk on eggshells around her. Besides, she was planing to go with Maverick... but she would seem pretty terrible if she backed out now.
"Sure, let's go," Ilasi managed with all the enthusiasm she could muster. "I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. Please, do try to just relax tonight and not feel so tense. You might find this place isn't so bad - well, isn't always so bad, at least," she finished, quickly catching herself at the end.

Angora shook her head again, this time due to Ilasi's pathetic attempt to disguise her uneasiness. She said nothing however, knowing how delicate the mermaid was, and instead bid farewell to her friends.
"Well, I'm off them. Later Shady. And try not to eat Maverick." she commented, still loving to play a few pranks on the hybrid and make him nervous, though it wasn't as easy as before even with Shade's help. Maverick already knew he was too gentle and friendly despite his previous unstability. The troll then left to give the oats to Dahlia and then follow Ilasi to said restaurant, leaving Maverick alone with the dragolet and looking forward to some bonding time. Angora's attempt of a joke reminded him of the times he was hopelessly terrified of Shade, thinking how he was going to turn on them. It still surprised him how Angora managed to befriend a dragon oOf all creatures, and gain such intense loyalty. He knew his Angorita was special, but meeting her again made him realize how far it went.

Raclaw and Chester briefly looked at each other-- and instinctively spoke to each other in a series of quick yips, barks, and other dog-like noise "What are you thinking?," Raclaw asked in what was now the trio's secret language. "The steak was good... so juicy, so tasty!," the little Beagle responded and was practically licking his jaws. "Well then-- we're in agreement. I found the seasoning to be juuust right.," Raclaw said with remembering the last time they had eaten in the Easy Eyrie. The two briefly said nothing before Raclaw gave a confirmative nod to both Latnok and the receptionist; the two furry friends now knew exactly what they wanted. "I'll take the steak as well. And Chester here is in agreement.," he then said in common looking down at the Beagle with a smile.

It has been one no two months since they had last been here. They had been mere 'traveling together' before (recalling Latnok's previous words) and now he was walking in as an claimed dragon. Chester had been properly collared and they were both now proper companions-- and pets to a loving owner. He and Latnok had bonded and become best friends over the course of about an year. And even though he technically and legally had less 'freedom' than he once did -- he was glad to have allowed himself to be claimed. Freedom and happiness were not always one-to-one.

Maverick looked at him with a frown, having figure out he would follow Angora's joke.
"Another day Oscurito. For now, let's just catch up." he said, following the joke. He didn't know what kind of activity they could do together, but they had plenty of time to think about.

Below the gangplank, Angora started to give oats to Dahlia. Unlike with Ilasi and sometimes Maverick, the dirt buffalo didn't dare to forcefully take them. Angora was both small and scary, so she didn't want play a joke on her, unaware that the troll was quite the prankster herself.
"Well, where to?" Angora asked Ilasi after she was done, ready to follow her. She knew too well the mermaid was still hesitant around her, and she wasn't before. She despised the Guardians for brainwashing Ilasi into thinking she was this horrible creature who didn't deserve friendship or love.

If this person knew about any of his underworld names giving information which even the guards had not find out would be stupid.

But if I pay you now, you will just leave and do nothing... oldest trick in the book. So tell me what would it take to get you in to this. Receiving his friends' wishes for food, Latnok was satisfied. "They will also like steaks," he relayed. "Some water for all of us as well, please."
"The food will be coming right up, and we'll prepare your rooms," the receptionist said, befroe stepping off. At the lobby, there were various people lounging, most with some kind of pet or other.
"Good to know this place is just as it was a month ago," Latnok mentioned. Though he didn't have a problem trying new places, there was something about the familiarity of the inn that made it more relaxing for him.

"Well," Ilasi said, "there is that restaurant that Maverick and I were at earlier. There should be something nice going on there tonight, if I recall correctly. And it's in one of the more tourist-centric areas, so you won't look out of place at all." Though Ilasi had heard of the restaurant before, she hadn't actually visited it - which is why she was rather eager to see what they had in store besides their wonderful food.

Back at the black market, the same cloaked figure skulked his way inside once again. Without a word, he casually made his way past Dex's table- as he did so, he would subtly leave a scroll case on some space in his chair. Inside the scroll case would read a message as follows:

"We must get a better understanding of whatever this group is - though it could just be a cult, they may also be something more significant, and we still do not know whether their intentions are pure, malicious, or somewhere in between. They seem to be rather accepting - find one of them and attempt to gather some information about their origins. If possible, try to get an idea of where their power comes from as well.

Adjudicator Bier

The scroll would have Bier's signature and seal as proof of the legitimacy of the orders.

Raclaw briefly looked around at the other 'pets' in the lobby, as occasional barking and other animal noises could be heard. Only this time-- much of it could be understood by Latnok via the Guardian's bond with Raclaw. "Oooo-- new people! Can I see? Please?!," another dog larger than the beloved Chester could be heard. "I've seen dragons, but never one like that. Do you think he's friendly?," a dog-like creature about Chester's size could be heard asking another similar creature. "Hey-- that Beagle, I've seen him before. I saw him try to run away once, although he seems to have found a new master.," an actual dog of a similarly-sized breed could be heard talking to its sibling-- an almost identical dog that was being led on a leash alongside them. Chester briefly looked away upon hearing the mention of his old life, clearly having some mental scars from it.

"Agreed-- I wonder if they still have our old room available.," Raclaw thought out loud before noticing the little Beagle's distraught. "And Chester.. try not to think about it. Your old life is over and you have a better life now.," he then said with concern as Chester looked up at him. "I'm sorry, you're right.," the beloved companion said as Raclaw briefly stroked him with his tail; a soothing act on his part. Chester seemed to relax a bit upon being 'petted.'

She wanted to break the ice somehow, but knew the Guardians have done too much damage to her image. It was going to be hard convincing Ilasi. She wanted a subject that had nothing to do with the insufferable pair, but she couldn't find the right topic yet.

Dex had hard time answering. He knew that he could not say he was doing the job for the guardians..... but also he would not like someone strange knowing who he really was. If this person knew about any of his underworld names giving information which even the guards had not find out would be stupid.

”I of course have money like you can see. My client only operates through a Messenger, but they have always paid what has been promised. But if I pay you now, you will just leave and do nothing... oldest trick in the book. So tell me what would it take to get you in to this. I can tell there is nothing for me to win stabing you in the back. I have much other things to do and I want this job out of my way as soon as possible, even if it means I just get half the money” Dex said looking pretty serious

Huntress close her eyes, admiring his caution.
"Feisty I see. Don't worry cotton. I wasn't asking for money right away so I could leave with it. You're going with me to the archives, and after I find the information you're looking for, there you'll do the payment. I may like money, but I'm a gal of my word." Huntress assured, being very truthful. Despite her greed, she took her jobs very seriously, and the last thing she wanted was to betray her client's trusts. As she finished talking, she noticed the scroll, but left it there for now. She didn't recognize the material, so she decided to instead pay attention to Dex and wait what he was going to decide...

Latnok was uncharacteristically pleased by Raclaw's display of sympathy towards their mutual companion. "Don't you worry, now..." he said. "If anyone wants to bother you again, I'll give them something to think about."
Soon, one of the inn workers brought the trio the food - rather large steaks for all of them. Latnok didn't know if Chester was going to finish his steak, but it wasn't a big deal if he couldn't.
"Now that I get to hear them, some of animals seem to have quite a lot to say..." Latnok mentioned.

When they reached the restaurant, the same, chubby man that assisted Ilasi and Maverick that afternoon invited them in. The building was really full this time. He didn't recognize Angora as a troll, so he showed them a seat.
"Where's your gentleman friend? Too busy to attend a beautiful lady?" he said, finding Maverick rude for leaving Ilasi and whatever was Angora alone. But then he saw the little creature carrying his bag, and didn't minded their loneliness.
"Well never mind. I'll be your gentleman tonight. Please sit. Here's the menu. Choose whatever you want. I promise a discount. The show will start in half an hour." he said to Ilasi, completely ignoring Angora, although he gave her a menu too.

As they watched the menu, Angora was still trying to talk to Ilasi. She knew the mermaid didn't think too highly of her despite their reconciliation, so she tried something simpler.
"This looks nice..." she said, pointing at a platter that had venison on it. She knew how much Ilasi loved it.

Maverick pushed him again.
"I can't punch you. But I can still pinch you." he said, doing just that. But due to Shade's strong scales and Maverick's soft demeanor, it felt more like a tickle. The hybrid was far more gentler than Angora, even during play.

"Thanks!," Chester barked as the food arrived. The steak was huge in comparison to the little guy, but he would do his best to finish it. Raclaw watched as Latnok was able to hear the other animals' public thoughts for the very first time. He had long grown used to such things, but it would be a small shock to the Guardian for sure. "You would be surprised. I was raised on a farm and the pigs couldn't help but to keep spinning the rumor mill.," he then said recalling his own past.

Ilasi took a look at the item Angora was referring to. In addition to the venison, it had some exotic, green vegetables as a side, with a few spices mixed in. "It does, doesn't it? Being a port city, Redwater has the luxury of having more access to exotic ingredients. Some of the more fancy places take full advantage of them." Angora seemed to be rather pleasant for the moment, making it easy for Ilasi to reciprocate.
