Tried a digital painting for the first time! It's not perfect, but it was a fun experiment.

It's VERY good! Very nice work of making a clear picture too, tons of people start out painting too blurry(I still struggle sometimes).

Thanks, Bifrost! ^.^ I've been playing around with brushes on my art program because I want to change the way I shade, and I found some that are light and smooth but not blurry. They were pretty fun to paint with!

So I'm gonna spill some beans. Art takes a lot of time to produce? Like this is the art dump thread, it's main purpose is not to stroke your ego, it's to share work. Whether you get a comment or not is more than likely irrelevant. Also you're not the only one that isn't always commented on and double post in this thread after a week passed. IE See Bolt with her Reignited dragon ocs in the same page.

Not need to whine and double post after 24 whole hours since your week long post.

big redpill here, but if you're REALLY passionate about your art you're going to have to get used to being ignored by most until you're at a certain skill level. it took me YEARS of improvement before i got any sort of attention beyond 2-3 friends saying "cool lol"; but even then, the attention isn't important. what's important is your dedication to building your craft and the excitement of seeing your ideas come to physical reality through your art.

I had someone on DA who would go through my art and just comment a variation on the two on each piece. How do I respond if someone says the same thing over and over? Why are the comments all the same? I appreciate the attention, but if they'd like a deeper interaction, please comment something beyond "cool" or "nice". I checked their account, and they do that with other artists, too. Why? I don't understand.

Not trying to be judgmental or anything, I know its a bit nerve wracking interacting with people online, but if you are really interested in people's art, almost anything beyond the generic "cool"/"nice" would be appreciated.

No, no. What I mean is, I don't care if people are enthusiastic about my art or not. I just wish that if they went through the effort of commenting on every piece in my gallery, they'd at least have something else to say besides "cool"/"nice".

How about "Pretty" or "Wow, I like the colors", or even "Your Spyro fanart is the devil"?
