These days I feel most people don’t really give themselevs enough credit for their positive traits, and instead zone in on the traits they wish they didn’t have. I’ve met some amazing artists who think their art is garbage, and wonderful singers who think they’re untalented, kindhearted people who think they’re the scum of the earth, the list goes on. The real kicker here is that the ****tiest people act as if they’re the kings and queens of the world. I wonder why that is?
But my question is, do you like yourself? Are you the person you want to be?

Personally I think I’ve got a ways to go, but I don’t think I’m a sack of **** anymore myself, thankfully.

Nope. I utterly despise myself, I'm sorry to say. I am nowhere near the person I want to be ... I'm too nervous and finicky to do anything that a person my age should be able to do by now. I can barely talk to people and can never put myself out there to do, well ... anything. I need to develop my social skills and confidence so much if I want achieve where I want to be.
I'm decent at art (apparently) but where is that going to get me? I'm just going to be a struggling artist for the rest of my life. :/

That being said, I want to be able to come back to this in a couple of years to see how far I've come, if I changed at all that is.
... I think this is a good idea for a topic.

Nope. Ironically though I think I actually like myself less than I did before. I used to be able to at least find some things about myself that I do like.

Anyway, I can find the good in me. Like, even though I get annoyed at my shortcomings, I'm proud of myself for how I've grown and how I've learnt to become a much better person than before, in a short amount of time too. I still have a lot to work on, and always will, but yeah, I have definitely changed for the better. The past used to bother me too, but it's so far away and I've changed so much, so I don't really care about it anymore. Which is a good thing. I'm also pretty happy with how my progress has gone with art finally, which doesn't really do anything with whether I like myself lol but yeah I'll throw that out there.

There’s a lot of things about me that I wish were better. There’s a lot of aspects of my character that I cringe at and find absolutely abhorrent, even if no one notices or points it out. There are a lot of decisions that I make that I absolutely regret doing. So, at the moment... no.

However, I feel like I’ve been better at appreciating the aspects about myself that people seem to like and emphasize those qualities above all else. Gotta stay positive even if it feels impossible to do so.

I neither like or dislike myself. Do I feel comfortable in my own skin? Yes. Am I at peace with the choices I make in life? Sometimes yes but also sometimes no. Let's put it this way that I wouldn't kiss my clone but I surely would not kill him.

I wrote two long paragraphs before I realized things got way too personal, so I'll sum it up like this: I used to feel proud of myself, but now I feel like the few good traits I have don't matter in the long run and that the bad traits I do have interfere with everyday life and normal human interaction, which I'm not happy about. I'm pretty low mentally right now, probably lower that I've ever been. It's not a great combination, and therefore I'm not really all that fond of myself like I used to be.
