I think I get more than you do, so I'll explain my best.

The uterus has a lining, and every month it is regenerated (as long as there isn't a fertilized egg/fetus in there, though mistakes do happen). For the regeneration to happen, first the original lining has to come out, and that's why women get blood leaking in their pants for roughly a week.

Because it's hormone regulated, sometimes stuff gets messed up and periods skip, or are much heavier than they should be. Birth control pills use those same hormones, so they're also useful for regulating period or making sure the period doesn't happen during a specific time.

I hope this is easy to understand and doesn't gross you out. Body parts do that sometimes.

i could have sworn there was something in Genesis about God cursing women for eating the forbidden fruit, by telling eve that all women will bleed on a monthly basis. however, i can only find the verse where God punishes women with painful child bearing.

I believe, it technically could be possible for the body to reabsorb the lining instead of spitting it out. But also evolution isn't always the most efficient.

I dont blame you since I sometimes wonder why I have to put up with it too. Although I feel kind of bad since one positive from my physical problems with mine is that I only get it once every two months and I experience like no side effects except for mild period pain. :/

Also people talking about not being old enough to get laid or having the talk and stuff in school makes me feel old jesus christ. I wonder if I had that talk fairly young though since I had it at 11/year6... I hear a lot of people have it later?

@Bolt wtf when did that happen? I don't remember hearing about the change in our schools. Although where I live my gen always performed poorly on the nap plan tests, especially the one when I was in high school. What made it so bad for our gen, and why is the new gen any better other than the fact that they have ipads since like reception?
