the Lucio buff is bad. it makes Lucio less skillful to play as and overall makes him not as fun to play as anymore as most of his wall ride techs are gone. i really hope we stop getting low skilled heroes that destroy characters that need that skill to be good

I'm just back from watching it, and he has good points, like the collectibles not feeling special or anything when you collect them, and the heavy focus on repetition, with 4 of each minigame, each being done twice. But I do think he was a bid hard on it, I definitely think it's better than just "mediocre", like, yeah it's not as good as the original trilogy, but I'd still recommend it overall.

It also drew me to realize that EtD and AhT are both on PS2. Really shows just how ugly EtD is for a PS2 game.

^Antdude had good points, I'll agree. I also feel vindicated that the pole glitch isn't because of my pirated copy, the game just really had poor collision. But man you can tell the bias when he says he doesn't know what the eggs did - ALL the minigame eggs are given by their own minigames, everything else doesn't need replaying, and 10 eggs are enough to unlock a bonus. He really just got lazy on the research there.

Now, he already complained about ANB. I love his style but I'm thinking of skipping once he's done with SL, for my salt levels' sake.

I don't mind real criticism, my problem is the good old thing we're familiar with when it comes to Skylanders and other unpopular series - if you come in HOPING to hate it, you'll hate it and make assumption after assumption. I don't want that in a review, I quit watching so many channels that started that, and Antdude really should be above that. I hope he is, at least.

I KNOW that Eternal Night is buggy all around, has rushed parts especially in cutscenes, has poor collision, suffers hard from Spyro or other enemies having no invincibility frames, reuses assets a bit shamelessly... BUT I still love it for all the good things that stand out in spite of all those mistakes. Someone who doesn't care about those good parts will put in extra work to ignore them.

Eternal Night wasn't buggy from what I recall at all. Maybe there is a difference between the Wii and PS2 versions though.

DotD was buggy but I still had fun with it, especially from a speedrunning angle.

ANB was just mediocre and boring to me, I don't hate it though.

Wii version's definately got something working against it. My memories of the PS2 version are fuzzy, but I know I had nowhere as many wombo combos and script errors(suddenly popping ingame in the middle of a cutscene, getting hit/enemies dying during cutscenes, triggers happening before or after they should), and looking at youtube videos, the audio is also way different.

I don't like DOTD, but yeah, you could do much worse in an afternoon if you want to speedrun or get all the Elite enemies. ANB is really linear and doesn't stand out on any way, but it didn't stop me from replaying it to get all the upgrades.

If it wasn't for a having such a great voice cast, I would condemn LoS entirely. I get no satisfaction from walking in what is essentially a straight line and mashing the attack button. And the levels oh my god... Who decided hour long levels was a good idea? Especially when there's no clear way to tell when it's safe to quit and when it's not. The plot is like, barely interesting, but I can't get invested in the plot when the gameplay is so boring.

AnB was just boring and monotonous

TeN tried to be different but ended up just being unrelentingly difficult and unfair. The flying ship boss, both battles against Skaab (without doing a very specific technique that allows you to stunlock him), the cynder clone, and almost every few seconds of the well of souls. Gaul himself wasn't too bad imo, and is it even possible to lose the darkspyro part?

DotD I've only played the DS version. It is probably the worst game I have ever played. Thought the gameplay in the previous two was boring? Let's just remove the third dimension. That will make it fun, right? It's also obscenely short and has like, no plot at all. It's such a joke...

Skabb does not need to be stunlocked. Melee until second phase on both, Dragon Time, hop slightly, Earth Flail, repeat until dead or out of mana. The lack of invincibility frames is REALLY a killer against Elemental Dragon though, Ravage Rider(ship boy) is just a matter of following the path and abusing dragon time, but she will change her attack pattern on a whim, run on the wrong direction while you're scrambling for gems, and generally be hard for no reason. Didn't know you could exploit her AI by jumping on her back, but I bet the devs didn't know either.

It may just be a coincidence, but I just realised that the homeworlds in Season of Ice start with autumn and end with summer just like how a school/college year starts in September and ends in June or July.

Got my laptop back, now all i have to do is go through the tedious process of transferring all my files again and redownloading all my apps :/
