Press down for a few seconds with the Red Crystal equipped while facing the cliff. The tornado will take you from the western-most part of the game to the most easterly mansion, Bodley Mansion.

Oops, wrong secret.

What you really have to do is take the secret warp in the level Air Crash. There’ll be a suspicious stone platform that warps you to a secret passage of Snow Go. You have to complete that section to finally get the Red Gem.

Open the lock, attach it to the belt, and use the knife to cut it.

If that fails, stick a battery in the gun and spin the chamber.
