Quote: DirtPrincessMore and more people are switching to Discord anyway, so this will probably be the final nail in the coffin for Skype.
I used Skype for so long so I was really reluctant to switch, but once I finally did I realized how many issues Skype actually has that they refuse to fix.
I highly doubt that first part. Millions upon millions of people still use Skype, and Discord is generally not geared towards a lot of the people that use it.
And plus, it wouldn't be the "final nail" because, if you had read what I posted, you'd notice that they just worded the original statement really badly.
Millions upon millions of people went to toys r us but they're closing cuz people get their toys from online now, why is the number relevant? what's relevant is that people are making the switch. Skype's design isn't as good as discord and discord is way more easier and comfortable to use. The features are better and it's just better in general. How is it not geared towards people that use it? That's a really redundant statement, not tryna be a dick i just dont understand how that makes much sense since it doesn't have only one specific usage... It's not just for gamers, you could argue it's for fanbases aswell, it could absolutely be used for business, easy to use text features and easy to join group voice channels make it perfect for that. Skype will exist for a while still but more and more people are realizing Discord's superiority and Discord is to Skype as Netflix was to Blockbuster. It's only a matter of time.
