What if your attack is to poison someone? Like, you secrete bottles labelled with a skull 'n' crossbones saying "POISON" and then throw them into people's gobholes? Is that venom or poison?

While yeah you can get poison effects from not ingesting the plant, I feel like the most fatal cases are from ingesting a plant. Don't get me wrong Poison Ivy sucks ass, but not every plant with poison is poison ivy.

You know I forgot about poison dart frogs and kind of thought they were like spitting cobras except for bugs instead of mice where they just spit at the face.

Venom is purposely introduced to the victim, and really just a subset of poison. So venom is always poison, but poison isn’t always venom.
