What scares you?

What are things that make you frightened?

For me, besides murderers and stuff like that, it's the unknown. Things like what happens after death, what secrets still remain in the deepest, darkest depths of the ocean, and space as a whole just creeps me out. The last one the most, though.

Like, how far does it really go? If I got a rocketship and went in any direction, would I just keep going and going forever? How did it all start, anyway? And of course the big question - are we alone? If not, what is that life like? Is something we can even begin to understand, something bigger than we can possibly imagine?

*Shudders*

All right, that's it for me. So what creeps out you guys?

My own thoughts. Not to come off as concerning, but I don't like staying in my own head for very long.

Also, just generally not being good enough to follow my dreams.

What's worse is that I can't even call it an irrational fear, because freak accidents happen all over the world, every day.

Losing my dad, stepmum and mum. Because I'm not very independent and I don't know how to react to such a thing, I don't know how I'd live on my own. While I try to take as much strain off them as I can by doing things myself, I can't live on my own or do adult things. Call this being an entitled, whingy millennial who doesn't want to accept responsibility if you will, but it's a genuine fear I have because I don't know where to start growing up.

Manual labour is something else that scares me.

That was a pretty good FPS. There's no subtitles so without the sound on it's hard to tell what's happening, but the powers and setting were a nice alternative to Bioshock.

I think this is a common for most people our age, tbh. We're so used to being with parents that once the time comes we're anxious about how keep flying once we leave the leave the nest. We have got to worry about a lot more then we used to, and sometimes think we aren't capable at certain things. That doesn't mean are actually aren't of course, I believe that each of us, once out on our own, we'll find that true groove we need to live life well.

to be a bit existential-

i fear that i may never find a purpose in my life. i fear that i'll just fade away, without anything to make my life worth it. i fear the people around me either see me as a nuisance or don't see me at all. i fear that i may die alone.

I am scared of death. Like, what happens if you die? Does it hurt? Do you get reborn? Do you really burn the the firey pits of Hell?
And the world seems like a scary place, too. :'(
Just last night, a 17 year old with a gun was found in a teacher's backyard. Supposedly he was smoking drugs and stuff too, so. At least he didn't harm anyone.
Pedophiles are also scary. And peepers. Hh, gives me shivers just thinking about it.

...
Okay seriously though. Spiders wielding needles killing everyone I care for, or love, while slowly torturing me to death.

this isn't stupid at all and oh my god I've actually found someone with the same mindset as me. For example: I live in college accommodation halls and I have an en suite bathroom. The shower was a bit **** so I asked them to fix it. When I got back to my room one day and turned the shower on, they had changed it. Instead of the bipolar temperature water flying out at different directions and me having to stand on my toes to get my face cleaned, it was a perfect stream of perfect hot water-but it TERRIFIED me. When I was in that shower, because I had gotten so used to the ****ty stream, I had to keep a crack of the curtain open. I have no idea why but it took me 4 showers to get used to it.
If I think there's something or someone in the bathroom I'll keep my eyes open even if they get burned to oblivion by my shampoo/conditioner. If the water hits a bottle of shower gel that's chilling on the floor of the bath, it makes that loud noise and it scares me. If my music is loud and the water suddenly goes cold, it scares me. Etc etc. Don't even get me started on using other peoples' showers.

Other things that scare me:

-If you went into Space, defied gravity and just fell, where would you land? Would you land? Is there an end to this universe? This question has been scaring me since I was a child.

-Making a fool out of myself in front of my girlfriend...which has happened many times already smilie

it's like........idek what im afraid of. like when i shower at night i'm scared someone is there. but i get so used to the sound and everything that when it's different i get scared. i don't get it lol. the one time there was a bunch of air in our pipes so the showerhead would make this loud hissing sound and i cried when my mom made me get a shower. recently our water pressure was increased like hell and the sound the shower makes is so different i refused to get a shower for like a week and got a bath instead.

and oml using other peoples showers............i legit scream sometimes and they wonder wtf my problem is
