So, how long have you been here? I've been here for about 6 years, through three different accounts, once lurking. If I wasn't an idiot I would've found something better to do by now.

I don't understand why it's bad to enjoy something while thinking it's garbage? I enjoy batman and robin but it's a piece of absolute trash, I still get enjoyment out of it. Darkspyro is an addiction and it's a place that despite everyone who thinks it's easy to, is not easy to leave. "Why don't you write your feelings down in a diary/journal" is basically like saying "Why don't you just watch another movie if it's so bad"
There's a want, a desire, a familiarity, people feel more themselves here for the most part I think and it takes you away from the real world when the real world drags you down. It's not a great place, a lot of users are assholes and a lot of the topics are pointless or trends, there's arguments and fights but it's still like a second home to people. Maybe they dont want to leave their friends behind or maybe they feel freer here. But just because someone thinks the site is trash isn't the same as meaning they want to leave. I think it's trash but I don't leave, I stay here a few reasons, honestly if I had a different platform to do all the things I do on this site and move them over I would. But I'm still here because I have my reasons and I'm sure Vespi does too.

The problem is that they get tired of the site, leave, come back, complain about the site and leave again. There’s a large difference between enjoying a bad piece of media, such as your Batman and Robin, and continuously coming back to a community they dislike. While I’m sure they both have their reasons to come back, it’s just very frustrating to see this cycle of leaving and then returning and then leaving again. It makes no sense, actually, if you don’t like something, why come back to it??

This place is amazing imo. I've made a lot of friends and great memories here and it helped me through a lot of rough patches in my life. You're all wonderful!

I mean, I suppose it is more of a subjective thing really. As Lunarz said, there are a lot of assholes on here (Myself included, I'm not going to deny it), but I've been to several places that are a lot worse.
I think you're pretty much guaranteed to find a decent handful of assholes on any larger forums you go on because of there being more people.

And despite there being a good few people that I don't particularly like, try to avoid, or get my blood boiling, I still enjoy my time here otherwise.

Well, it's more so everyone has a mistake or problem or two to them that they need to work on, rather than being one. Being one on the inside implies that you're purposefully trying to do bad, while making mistakes, having a problem etc. is just due to imperfections. We're all not perfect creatures, but you know, we can try to be at our best or try to work on thing, try to be better. Aaand then the people who don't try, or actually want some form of chaos, or like being mean are those type of people.

Just an explanation on what the difference is on being one on the inside means, and having mistakes or imperfections. So in truth it's more like everyone makes mistakes that can be worked on or fixed!
